Is Tebow now untradeable?

The consensus in speaking with a handful of team personnel executives when it comes to one Tim Tebow is this: A trade could happen, but it's becoming increasingly likely the Broncos will keep or cut Tebow because the trade interest is dwindling rapidly.

The executives portray the Tebow situation as a complicated one. They believe that while the Broncos are not openly trying to trade Tebow, they say that when teams have recently inquired about him, the Broncos haven't been saying he's off the trading block, either.

Again, just to be clear, the Broncos aren't openly shopping Tebow but teams that have asked were told: Make us an offer we can't refuse.

The Broncos might deny this, but based on their recent actions, it seems they're realizing Tebow might not be a bona fide NFL thrower. Tebow was the third quarterback in Denver's last game. It might not stay that way, and there is a solid chance Tebow simply stays in Denver and learns and the franchise keeps him around.

But do you put a guy you like in that kind of embarrassing situation? Probably not.

The are two big problems for the Broncos and Tebow. First, there's the belief that the Broncos might even cut Tebow (I don't see that), so why would a team trade for him?

Second, some in football think Tebow might need to be switched to another position. One team executive says he believes Tebow would be a Pro Bowl fullback, a belief I've heard several times from others around the sport.

It's a complicated matter with no easy solution for the Broncos or Tebow. In a few weeks, or even less, we'll know his future for sure.

I wouldn't even trade a pack of cigarettes for him.  I'm a Bronco fan and still think he's a dud.  What a waste of a pick in the draft.  Thanks Josh McDaniels.  We're definitely stuck with him, nobody wants him.  I do agree that he'd be better served as a fullback or even TE, but not on the Broncos roster.

Actually, it says keep or cut, which is different than trade and relevant.

Is Tebow now untradeable?

This proves he is an egomaniac who believes he is going to be the next Tom Brady...NO OTHER EXPLAINATION. He has been told he has a future in the NFL....BUT he has to change positions. His reponse has been NO WAY!!! "I am The Great Tim Tebow, CBS says so every Saturday afternoon in the fall while they try and convince everbody how good I am"

He's just another spoiled brat (you listening Verne "Fat Boy" Lundqusit) who when he doesn't get things his way (play QB) then he takes his ball and go the Phillipines and perform open-heart surgery with a paper clip, a jock strap and copy of himself on the cover of SI.  Rumor has it, if you spend fifteen minutes with Timmy-boy it will change your life...because you will spend the rest of the day being ill.

Hey, Timmy, instead of alienating guys like Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy at the Heisman Award Ceremony, you should have been listening to them. I know its hard for you to believe, but you JUST MIGHT HAVE LEARNED SOMETHING FROM THESE TWO FINE YOUNG N...F...L...STARTING QBs!!!

Just goes to show...sooner or later...he scales balance out...welcome to REALITY, Tim-Bow...because I think Bradford needs some yard work at his new 4.5 million dollar estate...but leave the God awful "EARNJ" colored T-shirt at home. He promises not to call you his "Huckleberry."

Is Tebow now untradeable?

Another hard-hitting piece of journalistic excellence from CBS. So, the Broncos will either trade, cut or keep Tim Tebow. WHAT OTHER OPTION IS THERE?!

In other news, today I plan to eat, drink, or not eat or drink at all.

Is Tebow now untradeable?

I'm no Tebow lover by any means and it's now very clear that using a first round pick to take him was as foolish as most thought at the time but I will say that when he's been in games at qb he hasn't imploded.  He's never going to be Peyton Maning and in today's League with the rules slanted toward the passing game he doesn't have the tools to make a splash in the NFL.  He does have something though and that makes him interesting.  Tebow at fullback?  Probably could contribute more there but it seems unlikely that he would agree to the move at this time.  It's hard to fathom that another team would make an offer that would save face enough face in Denver to get the deal done so you have to assume the Broncos are stuck with him.  Cutting him would be embarrassing for the front office but are they willing to pay the cash for a first rounder that they don't see a future for to be the third QB?  While we may know that in a few weeks I don't think we'll "know his future for sure" by then as suggested in the post.

Is there a role for Tebow at QB in the NFL?  Would a team invest in a short yardage or goal line QB like for other positions?  Tebow might fit the bill there as he wouldn't have to make the deep throws and could be a threat with the short pass but ... I dunno.  With the money he got I can't see that he brings nearly enough value.

If the team doesn't believe in him and don't think that he could develop into a starting QB they should cut bait and save the money and roster spot.
