Is Tebow now untradeable?

The consensus in speaking with a handful of team personnel executives when it comes to one Tim Tebow is this: A trade could happen, but it's becoming increasingly likely the Broncos will keep or cut Tebow because the trade interest is dwindling rapidly.

The executives portray the Tebow situation as a complicated one. They believe that while the Broncos are not openly trying to trade Tebow, they say that when teams have recently inquired about him, the Broncos haven't been saying he's off the trading block, either.

Again, just to be clear, the Broncos aren't openly shopping Tebow but teams that have asked were told: Make us an offer we can't refuse.

The Broncos might deny this, but based on their recent actions, it seems they're realizing Tebow might not be a bona fide NFL thrower. Tebow was the third quarterback in Denver's last game. It might not stay that way, and there is a solid chance Tebow simply stays in Denver and learns and the franchise keeps him around.

But do you put a guy you like in that kind of embarrassing situation? Probably not.

The are two big problems for the Broncos and Tebow. First, there's the belief that the Broncos might even cut Tebow (I don't see that), so why would a team trade for him?

Second, some in football think Tebow might need to be switched to another position. One team executive says he believes Tebow would be a Pro Bowl fullback, a belief I've heard several times from others around the sport.

It's a complicated matter with no easy solution for the Broncos or Tebow. In a few weeks, or even less, we'll know his future for sure.

Is Tebow now untradeable?

So what you're saying is they could keep him, trade him, or cut him . . .

Thanks for the info insider!
Remember where you heard it first, Moose.  Wait for the next Freeman report on how the Colts should either play Manning, or rest him until his neck heals fully.

Is Tebow now untradeable?

Elway comes across as an arrogant SOB.  For him not to ackowledge all the #15 jerseys in the stands either shows his ginormous ego, insecurity, jeoluosy or all of the above.  For a lousy team he should be happy that fans are buying any Broncos jerseys!  I understand that Tebow hasn't won a thing and he's probably not playing his strongest position (FULL BACK - TIGHT END would be my guess) and Elway has done everything!!  But Elway should never be allowed to run any organization, especially The Denver Broncos while his massive ego is in place.  Joe Montana, Peyton Manning or Tom Brady wouldn't have a snowballs chance in hell if they palyed in Denver under Elway!  Maybe Denver should get rid of Tebow and Elway and move on!

olivejim Get Your Lips OFF Timmy

Number 1 when a  stupid X head coach in the NFL told the owners of the Denver Broncos that Timmy was the second coming of John Elway and that they HAD to waste a high first round pick for him the rest of the NFL thought that this clown had lost his mind.  ( THEY WERE RIGHT )Every gm in the NFL had said that Timmy would NEVER be a starting qb in the NFL. Devner fell in love with Timmy and bought millions of jerseys. John Elway joined the team and said that Timmy would one day be the starter in Denver. After watching Timmy for a couple of months John has slapped himself and asked HIMSELF what was i thinking. This cat can lead the teams prayer, hold a clip board, and sell jerseys. But he can not and will never be a starting qb in the NFL. The only team that would have traded for him was that ego freak Jerry Jones. He could have had the number 1 selling jersey ever in the NFL a Cowboy jersey of Timmy. The owners need to grow a set and realize that it was a BIG mistake and cut their loses and cut him and get on with running a team and get rid of the Timmy drama.

Is Tebow now untradeable?

We all fell for this headline. Nothing to see here folks but slick attempt at ad-click revenue. The truth with regard to Tebow is neither here nor there. Merril Hoge is rolling a blunt and laughing...

Is Tebow now untradeable?

Blueup,

the massive ego comes from being a hall of fame quarterback and having to super bowl wins and being asked about the plethora of jerseys for a guy that has not done anything but lose the number 2 qb spot on a team with two other crap qbs. he just stared because he couldn't comprehend how meaningless the question was. Or maybe he answered in his head "well if jersey sales equaled actual NFL talent, Tebow would be starting." And really, Elway is not a winner? you sir are beyyyoooonnnnndddd retarded for that comment.

Hopefully for Tim he gets traded and away from JE

Elway has never liked the fact that Tebow gets so much attention from the fans. Watch the interview Elway did during the game yesterday, it spoke volumes. There was a question to him about all the #15 jerseys in the crowd. Elway just stood there and did not even respond. Elway has a MASSIVE ego and he has no business running a NFL team. John Fox runs the same old worn out NFL 101 offense and does not want to deal with or develop Tebow either. Stat man Orton is his guy. The problem for Denver is neither are winners and both will be run out of town.
Hopefully Tebow does get traded to a better organization that will develop him and build around him.

Is Tebow now untradeable?

I'd tell you that Tebow put out a hit on every other QB in the league and half of the recent retirees.

Is Tebow now untradeable?

So they might cut him, trade him (if huge offer), or keep him.

Brilliant reporting there.  You must have had to dig deep to narrow it down to those 3 options.

Adgmod, the most important stat that you didn't multiply by 5 is the win/ loss record that he had. Idk, that might be important. So Tebow's Broncs would go 5-11 or 6-10. Whew watch out for that winning team. Good news is at 5-11 they'd be close enough to trade up to the number one spot and grab a real qb in Andrew Luck.  fingers crossed.
