Video of Jets filming game against Patriots

I believe the Jets when they say a videographer on the sidelines of the Jets-Patriots game was operating within league rules. I believe it. I believe them. But new video from a reader who goes by Billy Spikes will no doubt get the conspiracy theorists going.

Here's the video. First, understand that from the opening aerial look in the video, the Jets sideline is to the right. Later, the cameraman is clearly towards the center of the field, near the coaches, but in the initial part of the video he is aiming the camera towards the Patriots team and bench.

Several things here. I'm sure the Jets will say he's not aiming in that direction. He's shooting the Jets or if he was shooting at the Patriots players or sideline it wasn't for nefarious reasons. They may also say: who in the hell do you think you are Freeman, Steven Spielberg, how in the hell can you tell where the cameraman is shooting?

All well and good. All fair. But it looks -- in my opinion -- like the cameraman is filming the Patriots sideline.

No, this isn't definitive proof. But it is damn suspicious.

I'll let you be the judge.

Freeman, you may not be Steven Spielberg, but you're also not an architect either since you don't have much skill at explaining spatial relationships.

It is clear that the cameraman is NOT aiming anywhere near the line of scrimmage but at someone near the center of the field or on the Patriots' sideline.

You say the "Jets sideline is to the right" of the opening aerial and " the cameraman is clearly towards the center of the field [actually center of the sideline]. If that is true, notice that the line of scrimmage is near the bottom of the opening aerial.  That means the Jets should be looking slightly to the LEFT to see the players near the line of scrimmage.  And indeed the Jets coach is looking toward his left as he communicates with his players.

I'm not sure, however, if there's anything illegal about the filming.  It's clear that EVERY team since NFL year 1 has had a guy on the sideline stealing signals.  Trent Dilfer said right after the Patriots were fined that he had performed the service of charting opponent signals for a few teams he's played for and that doing it by hand was more accurate than filming.

yea. very convincing evidence. there were also bombs planted witing the twin towers, and they went off when the easter bunny pushed the button. and those 2 planes where airbrushed onto the tv camera by james cameron's cgi. Morons. I know if i was secretly taping a team, i'd wear a neon glowing vest and a green t-shirt, just like this camera man. U knw, to blend in with the other people dressed like green lantern. Normal.

Hate the Patriots but Charger fans and Steeler fans are the biggest idiots. ALL teams use film of the sidelines and always have. Bill Parcells made the best comments on it when he just laughed and asked if people actually thought the Patriots were just doing what no other team does. The whole "Lime green jersey" BS with the guy filming the Patriots sideline last week just shows how stupid it all is. Jimmy Johnson, Bill Cowher, and every coach ever questioned (Have to leave Reverend Dungy out, the guy is a moron) said the same thing. It wasn't anywhere near what ESPN and the media tried to make out of it. Very successful with Steeler fans though. The franchise that brought steroids into popular use in the 70s, the Steelers. Steeler fans don't accept the steroid use, the obvious sham of the Superbowl win vs Seattle, hell, a Steeler fan doesn't think Ben Roethlisburger sexually assaulted girls. Wake up and go to sleep you morons. Go Packers!!!!!! Yes, they used film of the opposing sidelines in the Lombardi years and yes they are the best

The Jets are just cheaters, because they can't win fair and square. They trip players from the sidelines and now trying to take advantage from filming from different vantage points. No one is exempt from the rules and you have to obey them.

So, what is to gain from anyone filming from a different location, if they are filming the same thing. It is a stupid rule and if anyone still thinks it gives anyone an advantage they are dreaming.

First of all it does not matter what was to gain.  It was blatantly against the rules and all teams had received a memo about it and Bill Belichick pretended he did not understand the memo. Really, Bill the genuis did not understand the memo???  LOL

Secondly there IS something to gain or they would not have done it. The locations that teams are allowed to film from are not ideal locations to steal signals from by design. Are you really so stupid you can not figure this out?

Take off your homer Patriots glasses and just look at the facts.  They broke the rules (cheated) and were punished for it. Done Over
