Giants beat Patriots, 24-20

Posted on: November 6, 2011 7:38 pm

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- There may be some who saw the Giants beating New England, as they did, 24-20. But few imagined this: Eli Manning thoroughly, completely, totally outplaying Tom Brady. If you saw that coming, go play the lottery. Now.

Yet that's what happened. Manning was down his elite wide receiver, his elite running back, and still went into Gillette Stadium and beat the pants off Brady.

There's no question now what Eli is: an elite, top notch thrower. He beat Brady in a Super Bowl you may have heard about and he beat him again on Sunday.

It was another defining moment for the Manning that is sometimes forgotten.

VUT315...Please do us real fans a favor and start rooting for another team.  You really ripping your own QB?  That's pathetic, and I'm guessing it's because of all those inner insecurities.  You are one pathetic loser and I hope I never see you post on here again!

Pats fans in denial:  Just stop...stop it!  These ridiculous excuses are sad and you're better then that.  The Giants have technically been more successful in the past 5 years.  We were out Ahmad and Nicks which would be like you being without Welker and BJGE...our offense was not even close to full strength, not to mention our center was out.  We beat you fair and square with a depleted squad and that's that.

Eli is top 5 in QBR this season and has about a 3-1 TD-int ratio...can't ask for much more then that.

Great Win Blue...but with this schedule it's a long road ahead.  Hopefully we get Hakeem Nicks, Ahmad Bradshaw and David Bass back next week.  49ers D is a lot better...

People, we have to give the Giants credit. They beat us again. The Pats D is pathetic. Arrington made a key INT to kill one drive, but it was his PI penalty that helped the Pats blow the game. Our D must get better for the team to go anywhere. Congratulations to theEli is an inconsistent QB. He can have a couple of good games, then follow it up with 2 or 3 duds. But the guy does beat the Patriots. You have to give him that. However, he didn't really do anything at all until the 4th quarter(not that Tom Brady was exactly lighting it up).

To Brian8Ball(who believe it or not I actually do respect), you can't use the Spygate argument ONLY for the playoffs. The Patriots are 58-19 combined overall since Spygate. Yet all the Spygate lovers only want to mention the playoffs. That argument won't fly. And there are no asterisks next to the Patriots 3 championships, except in the minds of all the Patriot bashers. Whatever happened, the NFL Record Book shows no asterisks.

Lastly, there are 27 other teams who haven't won anything since Spygate. It sounds so ridiculous to keep bringing Spygate up. Now, if it were 20 years since Spygate, that argument may mean something.

As for next week's games against the Jets, the Patriots will be there Brian. I will be watching from here at home. And then, win or lose my friend, I will see you here on CBS.Smile

Yall are having fun with the "eli is an elite QB' thing. I  would much rather have the qb of my favorite team say that he thinks he is an elite QB than one that doesnt. To me, that shows he has drive to win and wants to win. If you would rather have a qb that doesnt think he's elite, whether he is or not, fine. You will have a mediocre team.I would rather have a qb that thinks he's elite, whether he is or not, than one that doesnt.Hey, we 6-2, the patsies with thomasina brady is 5-3, the elite [by stats] is # 2 and next week they will get swamped by the Jets. Yowsa. Go Patsies to the geat football field in your mind where yall always win& wont get caught cheating.
