Bears beat Eagles, 30-24

PHILADELPHIA -- It's not correct to say the Philadelphia Eagles are dead. No, not yet. There is still half a season remaining and since much of the NFL is almost crimanally pedantic it is quite possible for the Eagles to go on some sort of season-saving run.

Possible, yes. It is also possible a Kardashian leads the first manned space flight to Mars. After Chicago beat Philadelphia, 30-24, the Eagles fell to 3-5. The division-leading Giants are leaving them in the dust. Other conference opponents are as well.

Not dead. But you know those machines that jump start still hearts? Doctors are now hovering over the Eagles and yelling, "Clear!"

The loss by Philadelphia will again raise all kinds of questions about the legitimacy of the off-season moves made by the organization. Quite simply, you're going to hear -- again -- how the Eagles are a major, overrated disppointment.

You get paid for this Freeman?

This is acutally worse than the crap I read on Bleacher Report.  What is this?  I have learned from reading this:

1) You really did need to pad your resume to the Washington Post

2) You summarized that the Eagles season wasn't over...yet

3) You are obsessed with the Kardashians.  Dude, really?

Bears beat Eagles, 30-24

This was definitely the worst loss of the Eagles season. After the last two wins, it began to look as though the Eagles were going to make a serious push, and I think all Eagles fans expected to gain a game on the Giants this weekend, with the Giants playing the Pats. The Bears are a dangerous team, but this was a game that everyone thought Philly was gonna win, and to lose the way they did was a huge letdown. Instead of reaching .500, they now have five losses, and are left with only the option of a scintillating finish to even get the low road into the playoffs. I don't necessarily see Chicago or Detroit letting up the rest of the way now, so Philly's gonna be in some trouble...

It honestly looks like Vick's navigating the pocket and putting out good throws for his receivers to pick up and go with. But his receiver core isn't as good as we thought it was...Desean Jackson's been lethargic all year, and Maclin has become their number one receiver, which is acceptable, but I could name 30 other receivers I'd rather take. As good as McCoy is, you can't ride your running game to any comeback wins when you fall behind like you did with the Bears. And their defense is completely lame...even their star-studded secondary is looking pretty pedestrian. I gotta be honest, I don't see what I thought was so special about these guys two months ago...

Wake up people, the bears where a roughing the passer call on the pantie wearing Rodges from winning the Championship game last year. They are a good footbal team,Rodger Goodell has tried to take away the kick return threat from the Bears and that is the only reason that rule was put in.Goodell,Tagliabue,Rozelle and whoever came before him,George Halas never trusted the lLeauge office and with Good reason.
When It comes to playing Passs defense the packers are allowed to hand check after 5 yards, hold after 10 or 20 and flat out interfere, give the Niners that oppurtunity to play that style or the a Bears,The way the Packers,Steelers and Ravens are allowed, you might see different results.INstead it's the same teams in the PLayoffs year after year.

how long did we sign Vick for? DOH, how much longer will we have Andy Reid? DOH, what team in the NFL has an Offensive Line coach as their Defensive Coordinator? DOH, DeSean Jackson still all about who? DOH

I think the Eagles in all their losses this year have had the lead late in 3rd and 4th quarter in all of them. Same thing happens, the defense is unable to stop any momentum when it counts and Michael Vick becomes completely useless.

The Eagles need to do 3 things to improve and it will not be this season.
1. This team will not win a Super Bowl with Andy Reid. that has been clear for 5 years or more now.
2. This team will not win a Super Bowl with Michael Vick. That has been clear because this QB is bad on the line at the end.
3. This team will not win a Super Bowl with Castillo as Defensive Coordinator. This was evident when we first heard it. This was perhaps the worst move I have ever seen in professional sports. Castillo is a great mentor and coach, at what he did, not at what he is currently doing. You dont pinch hit Walter Payton in the World Series and you dont make an offensive line coach your defensive schematic coordinator when there is a plethora of better candidates available. He is absolutely terrible and cannot adjust during the game, which is why this team has disastrous ends to games.

I been an Eagles fan my whole life just calling it as it is. To all the Eagles haters out there, we do have one championship in Philadelphia you should thank us for, it is a National Championship. It is called the United States of America. Your welcome.

Wasn't it Freeman who last week was saying all the 'Dream Team' hype surrounding the Eagles looked to be true? One week later he's flip-flopped, questioning the 'legitimacy of the off-season moves'. This is seemingly an issue that plagues many of the CBS writers...inconsistency.

have you watched the patriots this year?

The eagles basically need to go 7-1 to finish the season and the bears need to lose 4 of their last eight as do the Falcons.  I give the eagles one more loss.
