Has Manning already narrowed his choices?

Peyton Manning insists he's made no decision on his possible NFL destination. Sure, Peyton. Sure.

No one in the league believes that. They think Manning has a short list but doesn't want to publicly admit it so he can maximize the inevitable bidding war.

One team official that contacted Manning's agent, Tom Condon, says he got the definite impression that Manning indeed has already decided where he wants to go, or, at least, the handful of teams truly in the mix. The official, who did not want to be identified, believes that Miami, Washington and Denver are the front-runners. One report states Manning has already informed the Redskins he doesn't want to play for them.

But the official conceded the front-runner will be the team that, in the end, offers the most guaranteed money.

The official believes that contrary to some reports, Manning is indeed open to playing in the NFC, even in the NFC East where his brother Eli, is obviously king of the division.

It's still early in the process but one thing is clear: the Manning derby is fully under way and, despite his public protestations, Manning likely already has a good idea of where he wants to go.

Has Manning already narrowed his choices?

peyton manning has to go to a team that can protect him --obviusly agreat set of offensive lineman. he is not young enough to wait for a team to aquire the protection . we all know he is not running or escaping a rush. his age means nothing yet ,he is still good enough ,--if healty ---to take a gfood team and make them great

Has Manning already narrowed his choices?

Please don't dumb down this website with that phont Ohio State b.s.  Every time they see the SEC they get their little bells rung.  Thet're a bunch of .500 cheaters who would have their helmets handed to them by Vandy 7 times out of 10.

Has Manning already narrowed his choices?

I can't believe any team would be dumb enough to sign Peyton Manning. He will demand BIG BUCKS and yet no one has any real idea whether he can throw or not.

Maybe he should wh*re himself a little more and do yet another commercial or even possibly something similar to that LeBron James "decision" stunt.

Has Manning already narrowed his choices?

I can't help but remember the Nmandi situation last year...no one saw the Eagles in the picture yet they landed him.  So no one really talking up KC (some are most aren't) I see that as one of many signs why KC will land Payton...plus some KC media outlets are saying they've heard their sources say that they Reportedly saw Tom Condon arriving at Arrowhead to at least discuss the Payton situation...odds are the agent of teh #1 FA in sports history possibly just isn't in KC to talk about tea and crumpets...
