Has Manning already narrowed his choices?

Peyton Manning insists he's made no decision on his possible NFL destination. Sure, Peyton. Sure.

No one in the league believes that. They think Manning has a short list but doesn't want to publicly admit it so he can maximize the inevitable bidding war.

One team official that contacted Manning's agent, Tom Condon, says he got the definite impression that Manning indeed has already decided where he wants to go, or, at least, the handful of teams truly in the mix. The official, who did not want to be identified, believes that Miami, Washington and Denver are the front-runners. One report states Manning has already informed the Redskins he doesn't want to play for them.

But the official conceded the front-runner will be the team that, in the end, offers the most guaranteed money.

The official believes that contrary to some reports, Manning is indeed open to playing in the NFC, even in the NFC East where his brother Eli, is obviously king of the division.

It's still early in the process but one thing is clear: the Manning derby is fully under way and, despite his public protestations, Manning likely already has a good idea of where he wants to go.

Has Manning already narrowed his choices?

Peyton going to the Redskins would be good for the NFL as it'd be GREAT for TV ratings, just think of it - Peyton against Eli twice-a-year and a chance for 3 times if they'd both make the playoffs!!! Maybe Goodell will call him to NY and have a little chat with him about just that, doing it for the good of the league, I wouldn't be supprised one bit. And the NFL could hide it by saying he's visiting the Jets although Sanchez wouldn't like it one bit whether it was true or not.

Where you live and where you work can be two completely different decisions.

If I were him, I'm not sure I'd want to trust my Super Bowl hopes on the commitment of Brandon Marshall.  One morning you could wake up and find your star receiver's on the news and in danger of suspension or arrested.  Add that to the new coach with no head coaching experience, the distractions available to your teammates (that didn't exist in Indiannapolis), playing the Patriots and Jets twice each, and I think that despite the money available, despite the warm weather, despite Jake Long and the good defense, Miami becomes less attractive as a landing spot.

Has Manning already narrowed his choices?

i cross Denver off this list for many reasons, the biggest one is Fox, like it or not, Fox is a ground n pound coach, he loves to run the ball, there are other reasons, but Fox is just too conservative and i dont know if Peyton will want to go and try to change his mind, plus it's not like the weather there is great. i think Miami and Arizona are the best fits, but out of those teams, i see Miami being the best fit. Arizona isnt bad, but i just dont know if they have the time to do this, Arizona will have to get him fast so they can cut Kolb and not pay him his money.

Has Manning already narrowed his choices?

The only person with an idea of where he wants to go is Mr. Manning himself.

He's already inked by Miami. It's always been Miami, and the fact he said himself he will be signed before Freeagency even begins confirms it.

Nope.  Since he's good friends with John Elway, that means the Denver deal is already done.  Sorry Miami.  You should have traded for Orton when you had the chance.

Go Broncos!

He's not talking about Pope.  He's talking about Moeaki who is more of a Tony Gonzalez prototype.  Great hands and very athletic.  Tore his ACL in preseason last year so didn't play at all in 2011.

Moieki is coming off ACL surgery.  Pope sucks as does the Chiefs OL (couldn't keep a QB healthy last year remember).

Besides, I highly doubt a TE is part of his decision.  The TE position needs Manning more than Manning needs the TE postition.  Just look at Dallas Clark's production without him.

Peyton is coming to Denver. Sorry Cheifs, but the Broncos have a All Pro Left tackle and a WAY BETTER O line. Plus a much better Defense! All that is needed is some O line depth and a play maker at RB. So I can see Jeff Satuday, Reggie Wayne and Peyton relocating to Denver and get ready for a Super Bowl run...I forgot to mention John Feeaking Elway boys..Sorry Timmy we rather cut meat then pray!
