Has Manning already narrowed his choices?

Peyton Manning insists he's made no decision on his possible NFL destination. Sure, Peyton. Sure.

No one in the league believes that. They think Manning has a short list but doesn't want to publicly admit it so he can maximize the inevitable bidding war.

One team official that contacted Manning's agent, Tom Condon, says he got the definite impression that Manning indeed has already decided where he wants to go, or, at least, the handful of teams truly in the mix. The official, who did not want to be identified, believes that Miami, Washington and Denver are the front-runners. One report states Manning has already informed the Redskins he doesn't want to play for them.

But the official conceded the front-runner will be the team that, in the end, offers the most guaranteed money.

The official believes that contrary to some reports, Manning is indeed open to playing in the NFC, even in the NFC East where his brother Eli, is obviously king of the division.

It's still early in the process but one thing is clear: the Manning derby is fully under way and, despite his public protestations, Manning likely already has a good idea of where he wants to go.

Has Manning already narrowed his choices?

Im not buying into all this Peyton Manning hype. If you really think that an aging, just coming off 4 major surgerys, washed up QB is gonna come in and save your sub .500 team, your crazy. Most all the teams mentioned are 3-4 years away from making the superbowl. Peyton has mabe 2 good years left and his first yaer will be a struggle learning a new coach and system. There are probably 10 teams in the NFL, that he wouldn't even be the starter on. ( G.B., Det ,Dallas, Philly ,Atl, N.O. ,Car, STL, S.D., Hou, Pit, Bal, Patriots.) Your team is better off drafting a QB or picking up a young Matt Flynn.

tdmeister, I hope you know more about football than anatomy, because you come off as both a complete tool and an idiot for correcting someone else when he said Manning had cervical issues because you don't know the difference between the cervix and the cervical spine.  You might want to head over to the local community college and get "learned up" a little before you try to call out someone else.

gcostanza1921, way to call out a guy for not following the Dolphins.  BTW, Matt Moore was sacked more frequently (times per start) than Chad Henne was.  I'm also not sure how a guy with 14 starts (Jake Long) "sat out a majority of a lost season to regain his health".  You do know he made the Pro Bowl after giving up 5 sacks and playing the vast majority of the season last year, right?

Now, those other 47 sacks surrendered?  Still something for Manning to be worried about.
