Has Manning already narrowed his choices?

Peyton Manning insists he's made no decision on his possible NFL destination. Sure, Peyton. Sure.

No one in the league believes that. They think Manning has a short list but doesn't want to publicly admit it so he can maximize the inevitable bidding war.

One team official that contacted Manning's agent, Tom Condon, says he got the definite impression that Manning indeed has already decided where he wants to go, or, at least, the handful of teams truly in the mix. The official, who did not want to be identified, believes that Miami, Washington and Denver are the front-runners. One report states Manning has already informed the Redskins he doesn't want to play for them.

But the official conceded the front-runner will be the team that, in the end, offers the most guaranteed money.

The official believes that contrary to some reports, Manning is indeed open to playing in the NFC, even in the NFC East where his brother Eli, is obviously king of the division.

It's still early in the process but one thing is clear: the Manning derby is fully under way and, despite his public protestations, Manning likely already has a good idea of where he wants to go.

Hope he goes to Denver so they can put a stop to this TEBOW crap.  I truly believe Elway would throw away "hope" that Tebow would be the QB of the future for the chance to have a seasoned winning QB of the present.

Lol the 2nd coming ?  Your crazy..  Marino can't carry Peyton's jockstrap bro..  If he plays in Miami that's fine but let's not be actin like he is followin Marino being something it's not.  Peyton may come there to help that sorry franchise but don't get it confused.

Has Manning already narrowed his choices?

Unfortunately he will be as injury prone as your last 10 QB and he will be a big bust!

It's gonna be Miami, folks!!

It's the perfect fit. Reggie Wayne says he'll play for Miami if Peyton signs. Peyton has a condo on south beach, Wayne went to the U. New coaching regime to allow Peyton's influence, owner with deep pockets. What's not to love!!

The 2nd coming of Marino!!

Has Manning already narrowed his choices?

Imagine that, "he" doesn`t want to play for Washington. No doubt Old man Arch., and little brother Eli, had alot of say in that. Wherever he does go, it`s most likely going to be the same situation as Brett Favre. 2, or 3 decent years, and POOF he`s retired. Which ever team "WINS" his sevices, will be looking at starting from scratch in a few years. Guess the best way to look at getting Arch`s son, is he`ll sell lots of tickets for the team.

Has Manning already narrowed his choices?

I just can't see Peyton Manning playing for the Redskins.  Not because of 2X per year vs Eli Manning and the Giants.  No.  Because the OC is Jr. Shanahan, and I really can't see him "Advising" Peyton, let alone "Telling" him what to do.  But how does that argument play with the 'other' front-runners?  Joe Philbin's Dolphins will probably come in 2nd on the $$-bidding behind WAS.  But eventhough he's had a good run with the Packers, is he as competent as PM?  But wait - it WON'T be him -- sorry I don't know whom his OC is, but I question his quals RE: a Peyton Manning.  Broncos - Seahawks--?  PM may actually know Carroll.  But I just can't envision PM in Seattle.  Nor in Colorado.  I am not sure how highly regarded John Fox is, around the league, especially since we can expect a full-blown "Bounty-Gate".  I've suspected Fox for a longtime going back to his Panthers days.  I think he will suffer too.  So that leaves the prospect of Peyton and Eli as NYC roommates when PM signs with the Jets.  I think the Big Apple is calling him.  The only question will be if the Jets can cough up enough money for him to tolerate being on the same team as Rex.  Obviously, that's a real BIG if....  Also, I am pretty sure that Ryan isn't qualified to give Manning orders, especially on O.

A lot of teams would love to have a QB of Schaub's caliber.

Of course it will be a surprise team. Always is with the big timers! I say he ends up with his buddy Ray in Baltimore or in San Fran.
