WASHINGTON --

The nanny just punched Roger Clemens in the gut.

The chairman of the committee just destroyed Clemens by revealing that the one-time Clemens nanny says Clemens was indeed at the much disputed Jose Canseco party. This is significant because Brian McNamee claims at this party there was a discussion about performance-enhancing drugs. Clemens has long denied he was at the party.

So again, a person with nothing to prove, contradicts Clemens.

The committee claims that Clemens contacted the nanny recently some seven years after their last contact.

The moment was the most explosive of the day thus far. The lawyers for Clemens vehemently denied any wrongdoing.

Clemens claims he was speaking to the nanny as a way to help the committee. Ooookaayyyy, Roger.

not to mention that this is not a court of law so you can use as much hearsay as you would like.....but it's still hearsay...if i heard you say something and then went to someone else and told them what you said that would be hearsay....dude know your facts first

I think you all are missing the point. They (Roger and his lawyers) were asked to turn over the name and contact information to congressional investigators of the nanny in order to confirm whether or not Roger was present at a party. Roger asserts he was not there. They were not told to contact her. Simply to give what information they had.

Roger himself called  and later met with her on Saturday after no contact since 2001 and said he was "doing the committee a favor". Later, some investigators from his lawyer's office called her and asked her a number of leading questions. These are all part of her deposition and do not make Roger sound like such chior boy. BTW - This is a congressional depostion and not a criminal trial so, there is no cross examination to be done by Roger's lawyers.

"BTW ... It is SOP for a lawyer to question someone before releasing there info to others."

Agreed - but Clemens was the one that did the questioning.  At his house.

Hokies, nice try ...  if it was sworn testimony other wise Clemens lawyers would have had just as much right to question her back and know what questions were asked.
When and where was she questioned and why was it not reported even here that Waxman said it was under oath ...

He said-she said, he-said-he said, blah..blah..blah..   I don't remember who I talked to Saturday night, these people are all supposed to remember what happened years ago?  Clemens isn't looking so sharp today though.
