Tiger watch: Tuesday practice round

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- If Monday was subdued, Tiger Woods' practice round on Tuesday was positively silent.

At least initially.

For the second day in a row, Woods was in the second position off the first tee at Augusta National, slapping a driver into the fairway at 8:03 a.m., three minutes after the gates opened to spectators. As a result, there was virtually nobody on the course to see him hit his opening shot, which split the fairway.

One man stationed near the tee box yelled something encouraging to Woods as the rest of the fans within earshot, perhaps 100 or so, stood mute and didn's say a word.

Defending champion Angel Cabrera was the first player off the tee, playing as a single. Woods teed off second with longtime pal and former mentor Mark O'Meara in tow.

For those keeping track, Woods played four rounds at ANGC before this week, played nine holes Sunday and logged practice rounds on Monday and Tuesday. So, while there's no way to replicate the pressure of facing live fire, he's certainly chipped away the rust as best he can given his chosen circumstance.

The only player to win the Masters when making it his first start of the seasonwas Ben Hogan, who did it twice.

Following O'Meara and Woods off the tee was the foursome Phil Mickelson, Hunter Mahan, Dustin Johnson and Sean O'Hair.

The Woods pairing had an interesting few moments on the front nine, when a helicopter hovered overhead as they practiced on the seventh green and walked to the eighth hole. Monday, a helicopter could be heard on the periphery of the course as Woods played, though it was never sighted from the course and was believed to be a news copter tracking traffic patterns on access roads.

Tuesday's bird parked directly overhead for a while as Woods and O'Meara putted on the seventh green and made the 75-yard walk to the eighth tee, then left. There were no visible markings to identify it as a news or law-enforcement copter.

By the way, for you equipment folks, and I don't believe this has been reported elsewhere, Woods is using as new Nike VR Tour driver this week, Nike confirmed.

Tiger watch: Tuesday practice round

Mr. hillbilly; go back in that  hole you emerged from. Rooting for the philandering phony feline is akin to cheering for Chrysler,IBMand the dreaded Nike. Sorry to use the word akin to you because your hillbilly mind may take that literally. Here's hoping that el tigre blows up on Friday and posts a 75.

First of all dog crap, don't ever call me "boy".My real issue is that the phoney feline and his handlers have turned this jerk into some hero. Billy Payne even made Woods the sympathetic character in this saga. You really think the el tigre will make more cash than me: wow, my goal of making my 1st billion is now dashed. I called CBS,CNN, and ESPN but none of them wanted to hear my confessions of my wayward ways. If dog poo needs dates and times, then I will gladly enlighten you and the nation. By the way, I went to work today and told my 6 co-workers all my sins and they told me to shut up and do my job.I realize that none of the above will register in that tiny mind of the dog or team or 5.

You my friend are a liar, a PHONEY and a JERK. To be honest, I think you a bigger liar , phone and jerk than Tiger will ever be. You think you are lying to us but you are lying to yourself. You give a rats ass about Tiger lying or not admitting his faults to millions of damn people or that he went out behind his wifes back with some trasy women....you are happy about that...Wha's your real issue boy...Stand up and tell the world what your real issues are....

Stop whinning about Tiger...he is likely to contione to be good in golf(if not the best) for a few more years, he is likley to continue to make more money then you will ever make  in your lying ass life. Stop asking Tiger to stop lying to you and stop lying to yourself....If you work, go to your job one day and admit all the lies you have told; admit what you truly hate about Tiger...quit being a damn phoney. Admit your damn failures to CBS....tell us alll...please and don't lie to us because we might CRY and not worship you!

That said...let's enjoy some GOLF(if you even  like the sport)....may the best PLAYER win

Maybe you should learn how to speel (purposed mistake), werds beeter.  I don thin "FUCUS" is a word, (unless there's a pun intended).

I swear!  The IQ of people writing on these boards is lower than whale puke.

And your grammar is atrocious!  Where’s a Copy Editor when you need one? (that’s a rhetorical question).

You are missing the point idiot! I can't remember anyone in the press trying to sell me a car, stroke my beard, encourage me to drink a certain beverage, or put a watch on my wrist. He has made fools of the media and public in general with his "family image". Fool me once; shame on me and you know the rest.

You my friend are the reason for the phoney feline to act in such a manner. He has lied to us in the past, avoided any possible admissions of his failures, but clowns like you worship this jerk no matter what. I could care less about how many waitresses, porn stars,or outright hookers this egomaniac has bedded, but don't try and put me in a Buick, sell me a watch, or otherwise give the public the idea you are this great family man when anyone can obviously tell you are not that at all.
This a-hole has played the media and the public for being something he isn't. He has  consistently lied about his  past and his joke of press conferences lately are an outright embarassment to anyone with an ounce of IQ. The guy is so Phoney and I truly believe that more dirt will be forthcoming soon; be it his drug addiction or more "women" surfacing. He claimed in the latest Q @ A his need to help others that share his addiction, but refuses to state what the addiction may be. Kind of hard to wrap oneself around that thought. The feline was wrong about his condition in life in stating that he isn't "entitled" to things that happen in someone's life. Of course he is entitled and empowered to behave any way he wants based on his wealth and status with jerks that worship his every word and action.

I don't blame Elin for not going to the masters, I bet if she went the cameras would focused on her every step of the way. The slightest emotion or expression would be blown out of proportion. Just like sandra bullock and her cheating man. But speaking of Sandra I came across an article that features a what Elin would say to Sandra if she wrote a letter to her about her troubles, its pretty good check it out

Cool

In other startling news, Tiger picked his nose on the fifth tee ... he ate a small - turkey I believe - sandwich after number seven ...

YAWN ... Tiger watch? Really?

I thought the Masters was about golf, tradition and GOLF ...

Tiger had two different colored socks on today ... his pants were a brillant blue .... blah, blah, blah ........

The Pope is so far from perfect he resembles Richard Nixon in his need for sculdugery and obsfucation. This Pope covered up hundreds of sexual rapes and perverted acts.

Don't ever, ever use this Pope as someone who has "flaws". T6his Pope protected monsters and pedophiles while doing great harm and destruction to his flock.

He is a disgrace - as is the sick, perverted, monstrous bunch of men who are suppose to be celibate.

Celibate? Only as far as women go. These guys rape boys by the thousands!

Disguting!
