Rocking tune isn't music to Tiger's ears

ORLANDO, Fla. – A few minutes after Tiger Woods won for the first time in 25 months on Sunday night, he sent out a link to an old YouTube video by aging rap artist LL Cool J called, "Mama Said Knock You Out."

Oddly, he didn’t send out a link to the tune penned and posted far more recently, by a hard-rock outfit called Steel Panther.

For those of you familiar with Woods’ scandal-inducing travails of the past two years, the lyrical content of the song will be every bit as raunchy as his private life, so consider yourself forewarned. Others with a higher tolerance for R-rated material will probably fall out of their chairs in laughter.

Here’s the link, which includes the lyrics

This particular post was made on Nov. 11, or about a month before Woods won the unofficial Chevron World Challenge, his only victory of any kind since late 2009. A few excerpts from the song are listed below. The group has an ‘80s hair band vibe, and sort of sounds like the mythical Steel Dragon band from the Mark Walberg movie “Rock Star” of a few years back, a definite guilty pleasure flick:

Lie through your teeth when things get tough,
Or your balls are going to wind up in the rough.

If the word gets out don’t be afraid,
When a 9-iron’s headed for your Escalade.

Have your best friend book all your flights,
Tell your wife that you’re golfing nights,
Get a call girl or maybe just chill,
Be willing to part with a $100 mil.

Hey, it ain't Lennon and McCartney, but these guys did their homework and got the background part right. The tune actually grows on you, too.

Rapper Ludacris penned a song about Woods shortly after the scandal broke two years ago, making light of his sexting and voicemail messages to one of his alleged extra-marital dalliances.

Elling you are such an ass!!  What the heck does this have to do with golf?  You seriously need to seek counseling, quit living in the past...really its been 2 years, are you saying you have been perfect all your life?  Remember a sin is a sin, they are not prioritized !
I am going to start praying for you its obvious that you are mentally sick.

Steve Elling has got to be uneqivocally the goofiest Tiger hater in the world.  He has a serious man crush on Tiger and never in my life have I seen one man dedicate so much to another man.  Elling is serious weird and dorky.  What does this have to do with golf?  Listen to the song and Steve Elling:

Hating on a brother because he can't be the same lover
Dropping all this hate while he sits back and masterbates
Writing columns while at work while his wife gets knocked off by the neighborhood jerk
He is so focused on the balls of another, he has lost sight that his wife also provides his balls with a cover
At the end of the day she says I have a headahce and not this time, so you continue to pimp your lover boy online
Only a dork like Steve could ever believe  he could more so he lives his life through the eyes of a w----e.
Tiger this and Tiger that, he's my hero, I hate on him so much because I don't want others to know
That I am alone and in the dark I dream of Tiger swinging his driver in my park
Don't hate on me because I nothing else to do but to write about my man and the way he used to screw.

Steve Elling, drink some concrete and harden the f----k up! Get out his balls and grow a pair.  You sorry excuse for a man-

Love Steel Panther. They lost a lot of their kitschy cool factor now though being associated even remotely with Elling. I'm sure Elling has played this song 39204 in a row on his walkman (doing who knows what at the same time) considering the sick man-crush he has on Tiger.

I always find it quite amusing when some fool starts correcting others on the internet for grammar and spelling yet they make a glaring error while doing so.  Priceless.

This article is the most publicity this second-rate band will ever get in their lives.  They should call the intro "Just like Guns and Roses but only half as talented."  There's a lot of imitation "Van Hagar" in here, too, and their lyrics and song titles imitate Jackyl very well.  I'm sure it goes over very well in biker bars.  I'm also sure that any self-respecting biker forgets all about this cheesy band the second he or she hits the road.
