Tiger Woods had his usual timid press conference on Wednesday at PGA National, and while it had the bland answers Woods usually gives reporters, it did have a surprise moment when Tiger lost his cool.

Asked by Alex Miceli about the recent excerpts from Hank Haney's tell-all book about Woods, Tiger said he wasn't going to answer anymore questions and actually broke his cool for a moment. The video is below, so watch it for yourself, but you can obviously tell Tiger isn't a big fan of this upcoming book and might even hate questions about the book more.

Miceli had no business asking Woods such a preposterous question.  He should have kept his mouth shut and let Kelly Tilghman ask Tiger his opinion on Matt Every's arrest on suspicion of marijuana use.

Haney wrote the book for money?  Say it ain't so!

No man but a blockhead ever wrote, except for money.” -- Samuel Johnson

Why did Haney title the book "The Big Miss"? Why is it titled in a negative connotation? What's the big miss? Oh, I guess you have to buy the book and read it to find out.

How many of you watched the entire interview? The moderator said to keep the questions golf-related. All the other media people did that but Alex Micelli deliberately tried to bait Tiger with a question about the book. Tiger probably should have just ignored him, but they have a history. One of the other members of the press at the conference said Micelli looked like a little boy who had been scolded. Unless someone is running for political office, he or she has every right to not answer any question posed to him or her.

America has a real problem with this passive-aggressive stuff.  I like how Poults is handling his current dustup with a media member:

“Well Bruce Critchley talks complete ****** most of the time anyway. Sorry Sky Sports viewers for having to listen to his crap every week.”

If Woods chooses not to discuss the book, that's fine.  I mean, if there were something hard-hitting, I could see challenging him on it, but some comment about joining the Navy SEALS?  That's just asinine.

If you want to ask him a meaningful, confrontational question, ask about his vow to respect the game, two years down the line.  Ask if he's given up on improving his on-course behavior.  Instead we get, "Hank Haney said that five years ago you said you wanted to join the Navy SEALS."

Is anybody in the entire world sitting on the edge of his seat, thinking, "Woods once off-handedly said he was wondering what it would be like to be a Navy SEAL and might like to do it himself?   How exciting!  Tell me more!"

We all know Tiger has his issues in his life and probably all deserved based on Tiger's own actions, but what an ass Haney is. My opinion of him totally changed.

i watched the video 3 times and don't see any evidence of tiger losing his cool. i hear miceli asking questions and tiger answering with a smile/smirk on his face. losing his cool would be the Iverson "practice" interview or the Jim Mora "playoffs" interview or the Mike Gundy & Kellen Winslow "I'm a man" interview or any of Ozzie Guillen interviews. Peturbed might be a better description, but losing his cool? I just didn't see/hear it.
