Just when we thought the Navy SEALS story about Tiger Woods was dead, revealed even more from the upcoming Hank Haney book and it’s even more intense than you think.

"The Big Miss" is the upcoming Haney account of his time with Tiger, and while the book hasn’t hit the stores yet, pieces keep leaking and it just gets juicier and juicer.

So we know that Tiger thought about becoming a Navy SEAL, but how intense was he? According to the book, incredibly. Tiger went on multiple training sessions with the SEALS, and even did a three-day parachute training session just 18 days before the 2006 U.S. Open, which prompted the following e-mail from Haney to Woods.

With the U.S. Open 18 days away, do you think it was a good idea to go on a Navy SEALs mission? You need to get that whole SEALs thing out of your system and stick to playing Navy SEAL on the video games. I can tell by the way you are talking and acting that you still want to become a Navy SEAL. Man, are you crazy? You have history to make in golf and people to influence and help. Focus on your destiny, and that isn't flushing bad guys out of buildings in Iraq. Just play the video games some more. That Navy SEAL stuff is serious business. They use real bullets.

The four page excerpt on has even more about his infatuation with the SEALS, saying Tiger went as far as to play SEALS-based video games for days on end and even told Haney they’d make an age-exception for him if he wanted to join, but your best bet is to head over to their site and read the whole thing for yourself.

Tiger might have dismissed questions about this last week, but the more information that comes out, the more he’s going to get the random reporter wondering just how far he was willing to take this idea before he finally snubbed it.

Much a do about nothing.  This is media making a story where none exists.  So Tiger wanted to be a Seal.  Who cares?  Haney didn't give up some great dark secret.  Did Tiger tell Haney, I want to be a Seal but don't tell anyone?  Get real and find something intelligent to write about.

Any new Americans should not read these posts...this is not the place where you can dream.  Forget it.  The next thing some Navy officer will try to make it on the PGA...better yet, maybe a double heart transplant recipient will want to follow his lifelong dream of being on the tour.  But wait, they should all check in with the fine writers and high ranking opinions on this site before doing so.  These qualified journalists are the judge and jury of whether or not somebody is qualified to try something.  Without dreamers and people to think beyond what they thought capable of doing we would've been a golfing community without Vardon, Ouimet and Ballesteros to name but a few.

Who cares if Tiger wants to be a SEAL or if he was having some fun?! At the end of the day, he plays, earns a living and spends his money and time on things that he wants to do while we all write about him.

Haney is a self-promoting scumbag.  He had a close, confidential working relationship with Tiger, and now he's breaching that trust by writing a book about it.  If there's one ounce of false information in that book, Tiger needs to sue for libel and air some of this clown's dirty laundry.  Haney is a gold digger, just like Tiger's ex-wife.  But, what goes around comes around.

Up next for Tiger and his miliarty fantisties: Boom Operator on a KC-10 or KC-135 on a in-flight refueling mission, USAF Pararescueman and saving a pilot behind enemy lines, or a Explosive Ordinance Disposal specialist detenating IEDs in Afghanistan.

Read this person's post before you post.     So you just dont' become a SEAL? You bet you don't. These are some of the greatest the US Military has to offer, you just don't walk on. If that's the case I' m just going to walk on to Augusta and play in the Masters in Tiger's group.

Personally I think Tiger's idea of becoming a Seal was just a fantasy. We all have fantasy's.  I think this is was just Haney's ploy to add to his book to make it like Tiger was so very close to Haney. Though I respected him before, I have no respect for the "male gold digger" Haney now. And this is not to let Tiger off the hook but I think the media bashing has gone on long enough. I hoping Tiger has repented and is moving forward. The media needs to do the same. Whether the Tiger haters want to admit it or not, he is really good for golf when he is playing. The only problem I have with Tiger is not his fault, it's how the TV networks beat us over the head by always talking about him. Case it point. Last Sunday before the coverage started on the Golf Channel and then NBC, the Golf Channel
spent 40 minutes of every hour dissecting Tiger when he was 8 strokes back. Granted he played great on Sunday shooting 62 and deserved the accolades as his great play progressed. But what about the 17 guys that were in front of him. I would have liked to hear more and Gillis or English, but no, we were beat over the heads about Tiger forever. And again, it wasn't Tiger's fault.

No SEALS do not need to be in a water environment to be deployed.  Each SEAL team has its own specialty some being more intense like Team 6.  They do lots of land locked based operations.  Heck the SEALS were the ones that aced Saddam and if memory serves me right, he was not near water.

As for Tiger wanting to be a SEAL...that is great.  If he wanted to serve this great country we live in then so be is his right.  As far as being a Navy SEAL, I doubt he would even get through their training.  Very few poeple actually can make it through it.  But if he could, then he would deserve the right to do it.  I think it is perposterous by anyone to condone him for his love of this.  The SEALS are a great part of this country and just because someone else exposed this love he has, he should not be put down for it.  Tiger didn't come out and express this, Haney did.  Leave Tiger alone on this subject and criticize where he desrves it if he derserves it and that is mainly on the golf course.

I swear there is a lot of growing up that needs to happen on thse boards.  Whether or not someone is able to become a SEAL or not, no one should ever condone anyone for wanting to serve our country in the greatest and most sacrificed way.  Enough.

Think Navy Seal team 6 and Afghanistan.  Doesn't look like a spot where there is a whole lot of water.

Tiger has too many screws loose.  Banging skanks and fantasizing about being a SEAL.  Tiger needs to see a shrink on a regular basis.
