The walls seem to be closing in around Auburn's coach.
Tubs looked safe on Saturday after the Alabama loss but as of Tuesday morning I hearing that his job may indeed be in danger. Stay tuned.
--For those of you who thought Lane Kiffin might be a little, oh, inexperienced. It looks like The Laner might have committed an NCAA violation before he even took the Tennessee job.

I agree completely. Tuberville has done an outstanding job at Auburn, and although this year is much worse than I expected, he is retooling his offense. I expect the Tigers will be back next year, that is if they have the intelligence to keep Tuberville. If not, they deserve to hire Fulmer!!! War Eagle! (but Go Gators!!!) |

Just stupid. Tuberville has been the best coach at AU since before Pat Dye, and gotten them at least one defacto national championship (even though they were robbed of the credit for it). I gather he's been trying to change the system over to a newer type (more of a spread offense) and so has some changing pains. If Auburn runs Tuberville out, then they're IDIOTs -- compleate idiots -- and deserve whatever lame-ass coach is available. Hey, I hear that guy from UT, Fulmer, might be available... LOL. |

Tommy Tuberville job updatelol. It's pretty obvious now that Tubs took advantage of Bama being on probation and all the turmoil that it caused. Even with a 7 year head start at building a stable program, everything has been brought back to normal within 2 years. Tubs could have taken advantage even more if he didn't resort to signing easier-to-get players instead of using the time to get the great players Bama is pulling in now. I guess duck hunting was just to important to get away from. I hope he stays so Bama can pile on the beatdowns... AU fans are usually delusional, but even you have to be able to see what has already happened and where all the signs are showing that it's going to go. Tubs will never beat Bama again, and regardless of who AUs coach is, they will never beat Saban at Bama. |

Tommy Tuberville job updatehow does bama need tuberville when they are 3-7 against him. what bama needs is to keep a coach and win against sun belt teams before they need anyone else.pretty sad that every coach that bama has had since tommy arrived has either not been hired again or has had losing teams. makes bama look like they are the training ground for loser coaches. tommys not goin anywhere and definately not gonna let to fingers go up for bama.

Kiffin was a good hire for the University of Alabama. ROLL TIDE!! and I hope Auburn keeps Tuberville. Bama needs him!! I'm glad the fans know what's best for Auburn by not getting Petrino. I'm worried when he gets the talent in at Arkansas that his team is going to be competive. His SPREAD works. |

KiffinKiffin covered this in his press conference. He took the test last week at Cal-Berkley. He was anticipating a job offer and wanted to get a head start. Just Spurrier being Spurrier. He's pissed UT took his recruiting coordinator and now is using him to get Jarvis Giles back.

NEVER is a REALLY long time! Do you actually believe that Auburn with Coach Tubs will NEVER beat Alabama again? That's crazy. Like most of you crazed Alabama fans, you have allowed one good season (while we were in a season meltdown...only slightly worse than the rest of the SEC other than Florida) go to your head.
The only way Auburn/Tuberville will not beat Alabama again is if they do let him go or he quits. You people are so full of yourselves. Somehow, you believe that because you pull for a winning team (MANY years ago and this year) that you are somehow better (smarter, sexier, etc) than a fan of a team who is not winning in any given year. What would such thinking make you for the past number of years? I am no less a person than I was during our 2004 season. I would rather be an Auburn fan/alumni with our record than be one of you with your record. Being an Alabama fan is just a sellout. People think those houndstooth hats still mean something. That is just history. Saban has no previous ties to Alabama, and he is a coach with a restless heart (though after some of his sideline actics Saturday, I really doubt that he has a heart at all). He will be around for a few years, win a title or two (hopefully just SEC or even just SEC West) and be on his way. After that, with your way of thinking, I guess you will be less of a person than you are today. Pound your chest while you can. It won't last. Get off your high horse before you are knocked off and break something.

P.S. You may note that I ALWAYS call them "Alabama", never "Bama". That is a warm and fuzzy nickname, and I have never seen anything warm and fuzzy about anything to do with U of A...ESPECIALLY the fans!!
