Bradford staying

Numerous sources are reporting that Oklahoma's Sam Bradford will return for his redshirt junior year. An afternoon press conference has been called.

I talked to Bob Stoops and offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson at the convention. I got the vibe that they were telling Bradford he was great, but he could be better, draft-wise, if he stayed for a fourth season.

This means all three Heisman finalists are back for another run. Great news for college football fans. Pencil in Texas, Oklahoma and Florida in the top five.

It also means the Big 12 ought to start looking at its tiebreaker sooner rather than later.

And shouldn't your avatar say "5 IN A ROW?"  Or are y'all still pretending that the football season ends in December?

Do you mean for the five Red River Rivalrys in a row we posted on your team?

I may be a Bulldawg fan, but please lord tell me that "ku" doesn't have anything to do with the friggin' Jayhawks!  And my memory isn't short, as a Georgia fan, I'm all to aware of every painful loss we've been handed over the years.  Especially by Florida AND Alabama.  Gotta stay faithful to the conference though.

WTH is WRONG with you?Stay faithful ? hawhawhaw /Oh please, SEC powerhouses that beat up on my team/go ahead,I will just root you on.come back and beat us some more! you missed a spot.Did the beating you people got in the war of northern agression turn you into submissive cowards?Get some backbone, hate your opponents ,don't "back them regardless"you dolts.they STEPPED on you and you LIKED it? where do you live?I'm coming there to "borrow " some stuff.Good grief,no wonder most people in Georgia root for Tech.

Good for him!  He can be like Brian Brohm and go in the second round after his senior year and lose out on millions, when he would've been a high first round pick this year.

Huge mistake. If he stays healthy, he'll get drafted next year and start right away or sit for a year depending on the coach and team he goes to. If he has a bad year, his stock drops and so does his price tag. Look at Steve Slaton. In his last year as a Mountaineer, he was a preseason heisman candidate and a projected late first round/early second round pick. At the end of the year, he wasn't even an after thought for the Heisman and dropped to mid third round.

And, God forbid he gets hurt. That's an awful lot of money to miss out on for collegiate glory. You got to take care of yourself and your family first. Its good to be loyal to your school, teammates and fans, but family has got to come first.

From a draft perspective Matt Stafford is a HUGE winner today.  W/o a doubt he will be the top QB taken in the draft.  Everyone can argue if he will be good or a bust but from a financial view he is looking like gold.  The top 4 picks in the draft are Detroit, St. Louis, KC, and Seattle all of which could use a franchise QB.  I do not see anyway he gets past those four teams.  It was popular to go OL as a sure thing in the top 5 and the draft is filled with top lineman on offense and defense but even those picks have busted in recent years.

I will say this now.  At most, only one team out of Florida, OU, and Texas will be in the NC next year.  It is too easy to take those teams and we all know how funky college football is one year from the next.  Personally I think Florida's fate rests with the choices of Harvin and Spikes even with Tebow.

Oklahoma owns your team and the rest of the Big XII, thus as OU goes, so goes the Big XII.

Uh, you don't own every school in the Big XII there, buddy.  You just own the coaches' poll.

And shouldn't your avatar say "5 IN A ROW?"  Or are y'all still pretending that the football season ends in December?

Oh, and Utah would've beaten Oklahoma by only slightly less than Florida did.  And that's a fact.
