Chris Forcier, W-T-F?

It wasn't enough for former UCLA quarterback/receiver/honor roll student Chris Forcier to transfer. Dude had to take a flamethrower to UCLA, the media and every capitalization rule that you know from grammar school.

Good luck Furman.

Chris Forcier, W-T-F?

"Give him a break. He worked his whole life for the oppurtunity to play for UCLA and earned it under the previous coach and then a new coach comes in and says thanks but no thanks you are not what we are looking for and he has to transfer to have any shot at playing. He felt he needed to get some things off his chest and did so before moving on to another chance to play for a school across the country and in a lower division. I for one will give the kid a mulligan and wish him the best at Furman, a very nice small school in the upstate of SC. If he continues this type of thing then fine if you want to jump on him but a one time thing to clear the air does not seem to warrent people jumping down his throat."

Dawgfan:

You have no clue what you're talking about.  His whole life?  LMAO.  The Forciers are transfer brats.  Like his older bro who couldn't start at Mich, goes to Stanford to only ride the pine.  He was a red shirt frosh last year.  Meaning, he never played under the previous coach.  LMFAO @ earned when he red shirted that year.  When he did have a shot to play for Skippy last year, he stunk up the field.  He was so awful, that INT machine Kevin Craft was his team's best option at QB.  And that's just sad.  You must've missed the games Forcier was put in due to Craft sucking, only to see Forcier perform worse, forcing Skippy to put Craft back in the game.

He was also given a shot to compete for playing time at WR by Skippy when informed of him not being able to be QB for UCLA.  Can you blame Skippy when Forcier was given his shots at playing, he looked like a deer in headlights on the field.  But, instead of being a team first guy and competing for a WR like many former HS QBs, he decides to be a brat and "clear the air."  LMFAO.  That's hilarious.  So if he did actually "work his whole life to play at UCLA" like you claim, wouldn't he have jumped at the shot to play WR for the Bruins?

Reading it over, my previous post didn't make it clear that I am bashing the CBS puke writer, not the kid who was sent packing.

So confused...What did this guy do??? and who's Furman?

Maybe that's his point?  I really don't believe he's smart enough to be rhetorical, or even obscure, at the keyboard, but you know even a blind sow finds an acorn now and then.  After all, this is off season.  There are only so many (thousands?) of real stories about sports figures recovering from injury, rising from disadvantages, volunteering to help where they see a need . . . your favorite writer just doesn't have the talent, grit or work ethic to build a story that doesn't write itself.  Can we blame him for those shortcomings and character flaws?  I sure as he!! can, you may be too charitable.

Don't be an appologist for a kid loosing his cool. It's a very immature move to even need to "clear the air" as to why you are leaving. What was he worried people might say and why would he care? He was leaving the program and going across the country to play ball so who cares what UCLA fans have to say??

Don't get me wrong, so many of these schools do things that are just as bad to the student-athletes in their school, but that doesn't give this kid a pass to shoot his mouth off. He just looks like a big cry baby. Take your ball and go home already, nobody cares why you left, get over yourself

I agree with your post dawgfan. I don't see the torching of UCLA or the media. His press release to me felt like he needed to clear the air to avoid any rumors to why he left. This is still the USA, he needs to take any opportunity that will elevate his game. not sure about Furman but if thats where he thinks he will be successful than more power to him.

Good Luck in your future Chris.

Go Bruins!

Forcier was being told by the new coach that he was going to see limited time as they were going to play the younger new guys more.  Furman is the school he chose to transfer to, a 1AA team.
