Sam Bradford has a Grade 2 or 3 shoulder sprain and evaluation of the injury could be "fairly long process, probably a week or two," Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said on Monday's Big 12 conference call.

One medical web site describes a Grade 2 spain as "partial tearing of ligament and capsular tissue" with mild instability in the joint. Grade 3 is described as, "severe or complete tearing of ligament and capsular tissue," with significant instability of the joint.

"A lot depends on how he heals," Stoops added. "It's going to be a while before we know what the plan will be."

Treatment options include rest, icing of the injured area, followed by rehab. The web site stated that surgery is "rarely needed" in such cases. Stoops' revelation is the most detailed description of Bradford's injury since he went down Saturday night against BYU.

Oklahoma is also expected to be missing tight end Jermaine Gresham who was out Saturday because of a knee injury. Gresham is reportedly considering surgery as an option.

"Same kind of thing," Stoops said. "We'll have an idea hopefully in a few days, what the doctors say and what Jermaine feels is best to do."

Hurry up and pause....I like that.  Laughing

Exactly what it seems like.   The teams with good D's don't have to sub at the rate the no huddle tries to take advantage of.  When these teams "pause" as much as they do it gives the D all the more time to get set.

I apologize, I have read the Art of War and you were right to point out my mistakes. Thank you.  I am dyslexic.  I will be more careful.

On, the HURRY-UP: I mean no offense but you might read how Bud Wilkerson described how the "Hurry-up" should function and excuted.   In modern terms, it should be "shock and awe"  and waer your opponent down both mentally and physically and not hurry up and pause.

Again, I apologize.

Nope I was commenting on the fact that not much is said if any other teams run the score up. I dont really have much to say about the no huddle. I think that if executed well it can be exciting. I think that everyone is entitled to their opinion and was making the comment that for someone to wish injury on anyone is stupid. Sorry for not being more clear in who I was addressing my comment to. I am a diehard OU fan but have no vested interest in their success or failure. I did not attend school there and have no personal connections other than just being a fan so I wasnt hating! Sorry again for the confusion.

And yet noone says anything when its another team doing the same thing

If your writing about the no huddle...it's bothered me since these teams have tried to employ it for the last few years.  It just doesn't do anything for the game.  I've seen teams get delay of game penalites while running it.  It has nothing to do with being a hater at all.  Why when you question a persons team do they call you a hater right away.  Just making a point.  I hate that Bradford went down.  I thought this year was like 1983 all over again...probably even better.  These three QBs that stayed are great and there may two or three more that come out that will make this the best QB draft ever.

Umm...It's "waste" not "waist."  Unless you were commenting on Bob Stoops' figure that is...If so, who am I to judge?

And yet noone says anything when its another team doing the same thing. Too many haters!!! I dont see how anyone is getting exactly what they deserve. How is suffering an injury deserved by anyone? Pretty pathetic if you ask me. Maybe you should have your hands cut off for your post, I mean that would be a deserving punishment right? Yeah I think I like that way of thinking, anytime something happens that I dont like maybe someone should suffer a serious accident.

I have to agree on the whole "hurry up offense" thing.  Teams are running this as a no huddle but they still take 35 seconds to run a play.  First the QB looks over to the sideline.  Then the offensive lines looks over.  Then the QB looks over the D then looks to the sideline again and the whole process takes too long to be productive.  And the linemen come from a set position to standing up then going to a set position.  I thought that would be drawing the D off sides.  It's a stupid practice and it showed it didn't work.  The QB's at this stage are not really ready to look over a D and make those kinds of adjustments.

Stoops should have played his backup QB more last year instead of running the score up on everyone last year in order to hijack the Heisman and NC game slot.  He is getting exactly what he deserves.  And, Bradford should have known better than to take Stoops' advice about staying another year.  Stoops is totally selfish and self-consumed and was not looking out for the best of his best player.  There's a reaosn he wears a visor - he's the reinacrnation of Steve Spurrier and is a total jerk...

Tao Sun would say take a head or two but Stoops will yap yap yap!  What a waist.   (Tao Sun: The Art of War , read a book)
ummm...sun tzu wrote the art of war.  maybe you should read a book.

and are you a homosexual and complimenting stoop's waist?  of did you mean waste?  maybe you should go read a book.

The HURRY-UP is just that, HURRY-UP.  When they stop the action to change the play it is counter productive.lol...you have no idea what you are talking about.
