Sick Gators

I don't want to say I told you so, but I told you so.

Wednesday's story suggested that the flu, while not an epidemic, could have a significant affect on the college football season. Florida will play Saturday night's game at Kentucky with at least three sick players who have flown in late. One of them is Tim Tebow.

If there is a position where the Gators can afford to lose a starter it's quarterback. Sounds weird but Jonathan Brantley is more than ready to start against the Wildcats. He has a beter arm than Tebow and as a pocket passer might actually cross up Kentucky defensively. You better believe the Cats have been game planning Tebow's runs all week.

I'd be more concerned with Major Wright and Joe Haden being under the weather. That's half of the best secondary in the country.

We're about to find out if half a Tebow is good enough to win.

Lets say that Florida does have the flu. Do you think you are going to beat us? Lets say they dont have it. Are you going to beat us? Florida has more football talent in the cheerleaders stool samples than all of Kentucky's teams combined since the school has opened. Give me your best shot at what you think the score is going to be. I realy want to hear this. Give me what score you have for flu ravaged gators and just fine gators. So, two scores.....lets hear them. I am waiting.

Sick Gators

Oh thats great!! I am an administrator in a hospital. I did my MHA at UNC where I worked at Carolinas medical center for 9 years. What is your point? It was reported that Gillisee had the flu...and some other non starters too but I guess you missed those articles.  You said they didnt have the flu at all so I guess you are saying that they are all just lying together....meaning there is a conspiracy between about 15-50 people that are lying. So, they must all be  getting together and saying, hey lets lie and tell everyone we have the flu. Right?

How about this fact?

"The Gainesville Sun reported this week that 97 percent of flu cases on UF's campus this fall have been the H1N1 virus, also known as swine flu." ( )

*Also notice how I link my stories, so you can easily check my references, whereas with yours its just a mess.

I back up my opinion with facts.  Look I said I would do the same thing if I were Urban Meyer.  I don't know why you are so upset.  And I work in a hospital, I know very much what Swine Flu is and I have unfortuanately witnessed a patient die from it.  I am also in school so I know how prevalent the Flu is.  You should be angry w/ the people critizing Meyer for bringing sick players at all when other teams have left players at home.  I am not one of them.

That is a horrible argument considering the flu is going around and people have actually died from the flu this year. The fact that you dont recognize that makes me believe that you are a idiot in the truest sense. You want to make excuses when you can, but you dont want take them when you dont have too. That is typical of someone who is jealous of another team or player. Find somewhere else to write BS like that. Have some compasion for players who are sick. I guess Miss was faking it....Wisconsin was faking right? Get a better argument and come back tomorrow and write something that is worth reading...you waster 2 minute of my time.

he's not sick

Urban Meyer is using this as an excuse to give a little preferential treatment to his superstars (not that I am falulting or blaming him.  I would do it too).  Tim Tebow is fine, Joe Hayden is fine, except now they gets to fly in a private leer jet to Lexington a little later, gets a nice limo to the hotel and avoids the BS of flying with the team.  Go WildCats (We can hope right?)
