Tim Tebow is "Ok" according to a text sent to by his father late Saturday.

Bob Tebow texted, "He is OK," after repeated requests about his son's condition. Tebow was taken to a local hospital after being hit Saturday night during a 41-7 victory at Kentucky. Earlier a source told that Tebow as "laughing and joking" and should be OK after showing concussion-like symptoms.

Tim Tebow was being held overnight for observation. Further reports stated that a CT scan showed no bleeding on the brain and that Tebow had suffered what was termed "a bad concussion."

Coach Urban Meyer intimated after the game that his star had a concussion after being hit by defensive end Taylor Wyndham. The back of Tebow's head then bounded off a teammate's knee. Tebow was seen on camera vomiting into a bag while being taken off the field, possibly a sign of a concussion.

It is known that after after an initial concussion, victims are more susceptible to concussions thereafter. Tebow has been one of the most resilient players in the country. In the last two games alone, Tebow has carried a combined 40 times.

The concern now is for Tebow's future. He, along with three teammates, flew late to Lexington because was what was described as a respiratory condition. Tebow didn't play like he was sick accounting for 226 yards in total offense before leaving.

Tebow will not have to be ready until Oct. 10 when Florida travels to LSU. The Gators have a bye week on Oct. 3.

Seriously, get a grip.  He's a football player--an excellent one don't get me wrong--but he ain't the second coming.  No matter how many praise Jesus' he throws down.

Back to football?  At least some sports?  Not sure people come to Sportsline to have a theological debate (or read it).
Some solid points though, but def not the forum.

You are just about as ignorant as they come. Great men like Thomas Aquinas, Thomas More, Charlemagne and Dante were all chrisitians. There are countless others including many of our founding fathers who were at the very least deists.Aquinas?  Really?  The guy who made claims that ge could levitate?  More like a delusional fool to me.  And writing a great story (Divine Comedy) doesn't make you a great man.  Poe wrote a lot of great stuff, but he was not a great man.  And I never said a word about deists, did I?  Diests tend to be much more tolerant of others.

It amazes me the ignorance of atheists when it comes to history. They point out the flaws, but are unable to see through those flaws the greatness. In Catholicism( and in Christianity in general), you are taught not only about God and the religion, but about forgiveness, love and aiding the poor. Many bash the church for their sins, but how many credit them for housing, comforting and feeding the poor?
Who said I am an atheist?  The morals they learn are great to an extent.  But there i too much hate mixed in there as well.

The true haters are people like you whose have no faith in anything and look to tear down accomplishments of the past due to their bitterness and ignorance. You don't question, but condemn. That is the ultimate in hatefulness.

Again, you assume I have no faith.  When you assume, you make an ass out of u and me.

As for the book being false. Who is to say what is false? It may not be a primary source, but it weaves the history of the Jewish people and tells the world about one of the greatest prophets and human beings of all-time who preached love, compassion and a personal relationship with God. To me that's one hellava book to read and discuss. It doesn't weave the history of the Jewsish people.  Most of section concerning Moses is bullshit.  And the only thing that calls Jesus a prophet is the Bible and the Quran and those cannot be counted on for accuracy.

Miamivice82, I first want to thank you for serving as a Marine.  Thank you for helping us all have freedom.

I also want to say you are wrong about people and other religions being fine.  I live in West, Africa and have had to save people's lives from death because of their following the local religion on many occasions.  I am from a small town and have gone out into the world.  Just this week I removed ropes from 10 children where the rope was tied around their necks down their backs and up their crotches.  This was a bondage form of juju.  Many people here are left to die because of fear of local gods.  The only way that has given these people hope has been Jesus.  I have seen people healed with God's Word being read over them.  I have seen people have hope where they didn't before.  What confuses you is that belief in Jesus is not a "Western Religion."  It is actually a relationship beginning in the Middle East covering all tribes, tongues, and nations.
Again thank you for being a soldier.

Lucid Faia, you know that isn't true.  Please check out what happened when a center for the Houston Rockets decided to fast for Ramadan back in the 1990s.

utkipp1, Why are you hating?  The greatest men I know are believers in Jesus (Isa).  They are not great because of something they have done.  They are great because of Jesus being great and they trust in Him.  I also want to ask "What has been proven false in the Book?"  You can not disprove faith.
I live here in Africa around Christians and Muslims and I see miracles all the time with God's Word being read.  I can see people getting hope, life, and even saw a deaf and mute man receive his hearing and begin to speak after God's Word was read over him.  I challenge you to try and read God's Word for yourself, outloud if you can, and see what happens.  We love sports here in Africa and it helps us to cope as well as compete and have a sense of brotherhood.
Other comments from other writers about Muslims not getting attention is wrong.  I remember a certain center who played for the Houston Rockets who received a lot of attention during the NBA season for fasting during Ramadan.  Some people are going to say to stop talking about this stuff.  That's ok.  It makes me nervous as well when I am around or talking about greater men than I am, just like Tebow is.

Tim Tebow is every white christians golden boy.  If the average white American, and yes I am a white Ameircan, got out of there small meaningless town and saw the world they would see how much of a joke the idea of christianity is.  I was raised cathlic but after joining the Marines, I was not only surrounded by many people of different colors and religions, but I was sent to parts of the world that were completely different from the US.  You see these people for what they truely are and not what fox news is reporting.  You see that their religion is just as meaningful as the one that the majority of Americans worship...  This experience showed me something.... if Budhism, Toaism, Muslims, Christians, are really doing the same thing ( trying to create a society where people know right from wrong) than how can one religion be the right one????  It can't...  and reading all the ignorant posts here makes me see just how uneducated Americans are when it comes to religion.  I understand that most people who are ignorant only know about what they are taught and never have an opportunity to see the real truth in life, but it makes us as Americans look bad...  Everything we do is not right or perfect... just because the majority of Americans are christians does not make it the best religion, and it sure does not make the people like Tebow, who follow it better than anyone else of good moral value.

As for TimTebow... I don't like the guy... can't stand him, because he is not the most talented QB or football player... but he gets media attention because he refuses to have sex and talks about god.... which is fine... if this was not a sports site.  I don't care if Tebow ends up being a child molesting cathlic priest or a Probowl QB, which, I would hate to say the first is more likely.  I just wish that we would focus on the truely gifted athletes here instead of the ones that say and do what the masses want to here...

Why do you all think Heisman trophy winners are usually busts??????  Because it is a popularity contest, not a true award for best football  player.... Might as well call it homecoming king.

Hopefully the guy recovers fast and plays against LSU... I would hate for Florida fans who didn't know football exsisted 20 years ago to be able to say they lost for any other reason than because the better team won.

It's a shame you actually came back.  Clown.

The kid is a kid.  This is not yet his career.  He's not out there making millions, and this could impact the boy's future.  I hate to see any of these young players out like this (even a player from that team up north!)
Bruises happen, a concussion is a different animal.
Go Bucks!
