Tim Tebow is "Ok" according to a text sent to by his father late Saturday.

Bob Tebow texted, "He is OK," after repeated requests about his son's condition. Tebow was taken to a local hospital after being hit Saturday night during a 41-7 victory at Kentucky. Earlier a source told that Tebow as "laughing and joking" and should be OK after showing concussion-like symptoms.

Tim Tebow was being held overnight for observation. Further reports stated that a CT scan showed no bleeding on the brain and that Tebow had suffered what was termed "a bad concussion."

Coach Urban Meyer intimated after the game that his star had a concussion after being hit by defensive end Taylor Wyndham. The back of Tebow's head then bounded off a teammate's knee. Tebow was seen on camera vomiting into a bag while being taken off the field, possibly a sign of a concussion.

It is known that after after an initial concussion, victims are more susceptible to concussions thereafter. Tebow has been one of the most resilient players in the country. In the last two games alone, Tebow has carried a combined 40 times.

The concern now is for Tebow's future. He, along with three teammates, flew late to Lexington because was what was described as a respiratory condition. Tebow didn't play like he was sick accounting for 226 yards in total offense before leaving.

Tebow will not have to be ready until Oct. 10 when Florida travels to LSU. The Gators have a bye week on Oct. 3.

Here's a thought, given Tebow's "respiratory condition" (let's call a spade a spade: H1N1) should he really have been on that field?  I understand he's a ferocious competitor and Florida is looking to pad his Heisman ballot, but c'mon it was Kentucky (sorry UK fans) and the game was in the bag at that point.  In any event, hope Tebow bounces back and is ready for LSU.
I think this could be an example of university's caring more about the almighty dollar than the kids who earn that cheese.

Well, I for one am left wondering why our defense wasn't this ferocious in the first quarter!  JUST KIDDING!  I practically lept out of my chair when I saw the defensive end was going to absolutely crush him.  However, the next second we are all hoping he is ok and praying for him.  Congrats Florida for reminding KY fans one more time, you are infinitely greater than the rest of us - in spite of respitory conditions, coughing up lungs into the crook of your arms, flying on two separate jets, achilles tendons snapping, and putting in your jv squad to score on us in the end...but, there's always basketball!

Well, my only complaint is Why did the defense wait so late to take him out?  JUST JOKING! Our whole family was watching the game and jumped up out of their seats when the dude laid the lumber on him.  But, as soon as he was down we all stopped and prayed for him.  Don't want the guy hurt or injured.  Congrats to Florida for once again reminding us UK fans why we cannot wait for basketball to start up...

Fact: If Tebow were an overt Muslim, he'd be a fifth as popular as he is today, and the media would treat him like "just another" great quarterback.

This is crazy...Tebow is truly important to his fans and teamates, for more than one reason (be it is leadership, spirituality), but CBS, ESPN, guys need to get off his 'Ji-ssock'. What you need to focus on is if UF can make it to L.A. wihtout Tebow.  If Brantley is so good, it shouldn't be a problem vs LSU at Death Valley.  I don't think they are that good without him.

How can you be great and christian at the same time?  Great men don't hate people because a book, that has been proven false again and again, says.

This is CRAZY!!!! Tim Tebow is a FOOTBALL PLAYER......these things happen! It sucks to see the kid get hurt, but HE GOT HIS BELL RUNG! It happens. Why does the media act like this guy cured world hunger or found jimmy hoffa?!?! Im waiting to turn on 60min Sunday night and they have an hour long special about Tebow....Makes me sick....and yes im a buckeye fan, but that has no relevance on this. NONE. ESPN cant have a Sportscenter w/out Tebow somewhere.....CBS has a daily column it seems.....I dont even know why they are playing this entire season??? Florida should just get the championship in August! A LOT of ppl have forgot that anything can happen to anyone at anytime. Nothing is set in stone. Yes Tim Tebow is an amazing player, but treat it as what it is......he is a AMATURE FOOTBALL PLAYER! He has a concussion.....where is all this heartache for Troy Aikman? That guy had 10 of them!! AND HE WAS A PROFESSIONAL!!!!! Im nowhere near a Cowboys fan, im just sayin this college player gets his clock cleaned and the nation stops and mourns......give me a break

You act like attention is never given to people that are carted off the field.  I don't know the Bills players name, but the one who had that serious spinal injury was all anyone talked about for a long time about how he was recovering.

Do you not remember just a couple weeks ago the hoop la about Sam Bradford and his shoulder??  People pay a little closer attention to Heisman winners cause...there are only two playing in college football right now...did ya think of that?!

You're almost as bad as my coworkers laughing it up that Tebow is hurt.  What are we coming to that we laugh at someone else getting hurt and having to go to the hospital?
