Oregon wins!

Posted on: November 1, 2009 12:25 am
If we’re going to give LeGarrette Blount a second chance, we’re going to have to vote Oregon above Boise. It’s not a hard and fast rule in these cases. It’s who is playing better at the moment. Boise won the opener when Oregon was at the absolute bottom. Now they’re coming off one of the biggest wins in their history. Oregon over Boise in the polls, and hopefully the BCS.

Oregon wins!

Oregon fans absolutely are giving Boise its just due.  Oregon was awful that day.  Boise was better.

Some duck fans just venting; frustrated that if Oregon gets by a very solid Stanford and ASU, and then beats yet another nationally ranked team in AZ, and doesn't choke the always bizzare civil war with OSU,  they will have beaten four nationally ranked teams in a season and it will prove futile (outside the conference)... the big one will escape them.

On the other side,  some BSU fans probably are bitter for lack of respect, and control of their destiny..   beating one nationally ranked team, and then everyone else that comes along.
; one nationally ranked win should be enough.

Oregon needed to beat BSU to be ahead of them.     BSU needs to play more than one ranked team in a season.     Both are obvious. &n
bsp; Both didn't happen.    &nbs

It is what it is.

Of course,  if the SEC teams, Texas and Cincinatti have their way. it won't even matter.

Oregon wins!

That being said, I truly think that the Ducks game was an UNBELIEVABLE abberation.  If they played that game 10 times the Ducks would win 8 or 9.

Except Oregon couldn't even hang with Boise in that game, I doubt 8 or 9 out of 10. YES you are definitely a homer.

Oregon wins!

Hey duckloverm, Your offense had 150 yards. Most of it in quarter 4. You got your 1st first down at the 10:50 mark in the 3rd quarter. You had 1 short 5 play drive for 1 TD Your defense was on the field the whole game cause your offense was putrid. Blount had -5 yds rushing. Who's Delusional? Look at the Stats. Oregon looks terrific now but Boise State made them look worse than the other "high school teams" we've played. I like the Oregon team but some of their fans need to get real. Giving us some credit could actually make your case instead of continually putting down the only team that not only beat you (twice, 1st time @ Autzen) but embarassed you. Geez, Cal Davis played and executed better against us than the Ducks.

Oregon wins!

Doesn't change the fact that Boise State still won that game.

So long as Boise State remains undefeated, they should be ranked ahead of Oregon because they've already beaten Oregon in a head-to-head match.

Ranking Oregon ahead of Boise would be unfair, but then again, the more evidence that proves the BCS is a complete joke, the better.

Oregon wins!

total. boise state delusion, you held the ball for how much time and only scored 19 points against a defense that was on the field practically the WHOLE game, delusional, get real, no one mentions that fact, boise states offense stunk that game, could barely handle the gift wrapped game

let's also not forget two or three phantom pass interference calls that gave you your touchdowns as it was, so really, the refs handed something you couldnt take when oregon tried to give you the game, YOUR offense was worse than OREGON's that day, to say otherwise proves you didnt watch the game or are very very undeucated in the game of football

Oregon's Defense shut you down the whole game despite being out there the WHOLE game

Oregon wins!

If Boise St. is one of two unbeaten teams at the end of the year, they deserve to be in the championship game. If we are going to say that Oregon is one of the best teams in the country, which I believe they are, Boise is one of them too. Boise manhandled Oregon. They dominated in every phase of the game. Go look at the box score. And for Oregon fans to downplay that game and say Oregon would beat Boise 8 out of 10 times is a joke.We have seen it with Boise and Utah, when they got a chance in the BCS bowl games they took care of business. It's time to give these non-BCS teams some credit. Shouldn't a win against Oregon count the same no mateer what time of the year it happened. Especially a one as convincing as Boise's over Oregon.

That being said, I believe Texas will be undefeated and either Florida or Alabama will be undefeated. And don't underestimate how good TCU or Cincinnati are.

Oregon wins!

Solid win for Oregon.    &nbs
p;Good for Oregon,  bites for USC,  great for Boise.

Its clear that the BCS system has to evolve to keep up with programs that are competitive each year.    If the TCU, Utahs, and BSUs were all in the same conference and that conference were BCS eligible, it would sure  help.   Not sure expanding the PAC 10 to add the Utah and Idaho schools is the right thing.. if the conference gets too big, not everyone can play everyone.

Oregon wins!

God you're an idiot Dodd. That's some fantastic logic there. Oregon loses to Boise State with Blount playing two years in a row and suddenly they are better because they proved they can beat a crappy overrated USC team?? Its bias BS like this that ruins college football and makes it impossible for teams like TCU and Boise to get the respect they deserve. Not only do you hacks say teams like Bama and UF are better than teams like Boise but now you are also saying that teams Boise beats are better than them. IDIOT!!!!

Oregon wins!

Not a Ducks fan but O looked good last night.  Defensively they kept USC's big play makers in check.  Offensively, who didn't contribute?  What a well balanced offensed anchored by an incredibly athletic offensive line.  Great win for the Ducks.  So, now the polls thingy is a mess.  Oregon looks to be better than Cincinatti, TCU, my Hawkeyes and Boise State.  But will the loss to Boise hold them back?  My opinion no, but voters often don't agree with me.
