Your Heisman vote

1] Toby Gerhart- White running backs have been in the shadows for too long(1973 to be exact). We want what is just!

2] Colt McCoy- If he hadn't had that monster game against A&M he would be lower. Like Rick Leach in the 70's just a steady Freddy.

3] Case Keenum- Playing for Houston will cost him a ton of votes.

4] Kellen Moore- 38 tds and just 4 ints for an undefeated team.

5] Tim Tebow- His soph Heisman can't be argued with. A win this year will be on the "name you know".

6] Mark Ingram- Unfortunately the last thing people remember is 30 yards against Auburn.

7] C.J. Spiller- The most exciting player in the country. Too many crud losses will keep him down

8] Josh Nesbitt- Made the option go at Ga Tech.

9] Jimmy Claussen- I hate the Irish but he had a great year.

10] Tony Pike- If he didn't get injured he would be in my top 5.

MY Heisman vote

1. Colt McCoy
2. Toby Gerhardt
3. Case Keenum
4. Mark Ingram
5. CJ Spiller

Honorable mentions:
Kellen Moore
Golden Tate
Jordan Shipley
Jeremiah Masoli
Tim Tebow

McCoy does the most for his team, which is they true definition of the Heisman in my opinion.  Not only the best player but the best "team" player.  Some would say the same for Tebow but I disagree.  I think Florida still is quite competitive with their backup and we even saw him play quite well in a game or two.  Without McCoy Texas would have struggled.  The kid has it all.

Gerhardt is a player, bottom line.  He is a throwback and I would love him on my team.  If not McCoy I am all for him to hoist the hardwear.

Many will say Keenum is a product of the system but who cares.  He is in a system that fits his skill and he has done it very well all year long.  Huge numbers, very accurate and a team leader.

Ingram and Spiller have been big time this year too.  Clemson relies a bit more on Spiller who is an all around player.  He can score in different ways including special teams.  He is electric and without the bad lossed on Clemson he may be higher on the list.  Even without the losses I cannot see Ingram above my first three.

Kellen Moore was close to my top 5 but just fell right outside.  Like McCoy he is that important to his team and without him Boise is not undefeated.  Strong player but the lack of big time games hurts his chances just like they hurt BSU every year in BCS chances.  Come on teams start putting them on your schedule, I feel for these guys.  They are good enough, ask Oklahoma a few years ago.

Tebow....not this year.  I hope he does not get the sentimental vote.  Sure he is the team leader but he has not played at the level this year he has in the past.  He does not deserve it.  Furthermore, Florida should have at least one and maybe even two losses on their schedule.  Some iffy officiating helped them to the point they are now.  Tebow is not the Heisman winner this year but I am afraid the voters may gift it to him like they did those speculative wins.  Politics.

Current opponent rankings can be found here....

Just find your team, click on the link and you will see their schedule with current rankings of the opponents next door.  For a few teams of interest, I averaged the opponents together and this is what I found...

Houston average opponent ranking = 101.02
Stanford average opponent ranking = 70.17
Florida average opponent ranking = 73
Texas average opponent ranking = 73.67
Boise St average opponent ranking = 93.58

couple this with what I said in my earlier post.... I still go with Gerhart
