Here is an excellent look at the confusion and anger following Nebraska's 13-12 loss to Texas in the Big 12 title game. Nebraska defensive coordinator Carl Pelini yells to Texas, "You should be ashamed to accept that trophy!"

Inside look at Nebraska's frustration

If you look at every single other play that was thrown out of bounds, 1-2 seconds went off the clock.  I didn't see them put any of those seconds back on.  Has Don Beebe or Walt Anderson spoke up to change the end of ANY other game this year?  This is clear case of the BCS wanting their SEC winner-Texas matchup and keep the little guys out.  The Fiesta bowl matchup just confirms it.  It's so sad when greed and power control more than players.

Inside look at Nebraska's frustration

maybe so, but as i stated in another post, put yourself in his shoes.  his defensive kids just laid it all out on the field for 60 minutes, and it was taken away by a referees decision, one in which the coaches were never given an explanation for.  in the heat of the moment, how would you feel about that?  he let his emotions get the best of him, but i don't blame him for being mad at that moment.  now that some time has passed, i'm sure that's the last you'll hear of it from him.

Would that be in contrast to gentleMANLY, composed Nebraska name-callers like yourself?  (non-aligned Big 12 fan)

Inside look at Nebraska's frustration

My goodness gracious.  Ok "You should be ashamed to accept the trophy!" Ha well if the tables were turned would Nebraska be ashamed to accept the trophy? I highly doubt it.  Texas won, granted an ugly win, but a W is a W no matter how you get it.  This Mr. Carl Pelini should be ashamed for making that comment and not making the correct defensive calls when it really counted on that final drive.  If he made the right calls and prevented Texas from even getting into field goal range Nebraska would be heading to the Fiesta Bowl.  However he did not. So that comment in my personal opinion reminds me of a child who just lost and cannot fathom the fact of seeing the other kid happy.

Inside look at Nebraska's frustration

the obvious argument is that there is at least a second run off after every football game after every incomplete pass but only if it happens at the rend of the game it is reviewed? I f that exact play happens midway through the first quarter do they put the second back? No way and Nebraska got robbed.

Inside look at Nebraska's frustration

Nebraska's offense has been off and on most of the season. And texas winning by a controversial call in my book shows that 'bama is going to walk the floor with you.  Nebraska's defense was awesome and had we came prepared with a better scoring offense mentality it would've been different. Let Texas go into the championship with this win, NU is preparing to return to its old way's of winning.

the official time is kept on the field, not in the booth.  Surprised nobody has asked what the official timekeeper on the field had on his/her watch as this would confirm if there was 0:01 or 0:00 left.

Inside look at Nebraska's frustration

Seriously?  Texas cried, especially Mack Brown, there eyes out repeatedly last year for missing the BCS by 0.128, and continued to bring it up all season this year.  Mack Brown specifically said after this game, "Well, I guess we can forget about 0.128".  Furthermore, they actually lobbied to try to change the tiebreaker rule in the offseason!!!!  Get a clue!!!
