BCS bowl lineup and my top five

If form holds – and that means Texas finishing No. 2 in the BCS – this is how the BCS bowls will shake out tonight …

BCS title game – Texas vs. Alabama
Comment:  Got to think Bama will be almost a prohibitive favorite but Texas wasn’t supposed to beat USC in the 2006 Rose Bowl either.

Fiesta Bowl – TCU vs. Boise State
Comment: Fiesta is always thinking out of the box. It becomes the first BCS bowl to match two undefeated non-BCS schools. Should be a ratings winner.

Orange Bowl – Iowa vs. Georgia Tech
Comment:  Pasty Iowans will overrun South Florida and come away schooled in the ways of the option offense.

Sugar – Florida vs. Cincinnati
Comment: Alabama didn’t want to be here last year. Will Florida coming off an SEC title game loss? Also, who coaches the Bearcats with Brian Kelly headed to Notre Dame?

Rose – Oregon vs. Ohio State*
Comment:  Might be the best game of the bunch. Chip Kelly’s wide open Quack Attack against Ohio State’s old-style defense.

*--locked in

Here is my final regular-season top five. You can see the entire top 25 later Sunday:
1.Alabama
2. TCU
3. Texas
4. Cincinnati
5. Florida

TCU vs. Florida--great match up.  Bad for the big boys if Florida loses.  So it just won't happen.  Got to protect the BCS.

You got it.  BSU vs TCU simply protect the big boys from a possible loss to a non BCS school.  Same as last year.  Nobody wants to see this match up, except Iowa, Florida and Georgia Tech.  Sad

BSU vs. TCU===Great way to protect the big boys from a but whoopin.  Sure is funny how these two infereior teams were pitted agaist ecah other last season also.  Why not give TCU a chance against Florida?  Oh yeah--Florida might get beat.  Although this would be a very exciting game, the big boys don't need to take another defeat to the kids down the street.  BSU vs Oklahoma and Utah vs. Alabama.  Everyone can see that the good ole boys don't want anything to do with TCU or Boise State for that matter.

first of all iowa beat penn st at pennst, and the game wasn't even close. second nobody travels to bowl games any better then iowa, third if you want a good story watch highlights of the yankees postseason run, its a much better story than an 85 year old propped up on the sidelines.

Look cheesehead. You couldn't be more off on your pathetic comments. When and where did Iowa "FADE OUT OF THE PICTURE?  It's ignorant people like you, that have NO football knowledge, that clog up these boards with ridiculous comments.

What sucks is these BCS Bowls care more about $$$$$$$ then anything else. TCU and Boise State played in the Poinsettia Bowl last year and it was one of the best games of the Bowl season. If they have a game like that this year that would be great.

iowa took advantage this year. with a good qb against another over rated big ten season. lets face it. big ten is slow and never puts on a show on grand stages. they always choke and level of talent is driffting to colleges along the beaches instead of -5 degree schools in midwest. iowa was way over rated and it was a matter of time before we all knew they would fade out of picture. sum1 always surprises in the big ten but they just beat eachother up all year. no where close to sec or big 12. they would get wrecked in those confrences
