BCS bowl lineup and my top five

If form holds – and that means Texas finishing No. 2 in the BCS – this is how the BCS bowls will shake out tonight …

BCS title game – Texas vs. Alabama
Comment:  Got to think Bama will be almost a prohibitive favorite but Texas wasn’t supposed to beat USC in the 2006 Rose Bowl either.

Fiesta Bowl – TCU vs. Boise State
Comment: Fiesta is always thinking out of the box. It becomes the first BCS bowl to match two undefeated non-BCS schools. Should be a ratings winner.

Orange Bowl – Iowa vs. Georgia Tech
Comment:  Pasty Iowans will overrun South Florida and come away schooled in the ways of the option offense.

Sugar – Florida vs. Cincinnati
Comment: Alabama didn’t want to be here last year. Will Florida coming off an SEC title game loss? Also, who coaches the Bearcats with Brian Kelly headed to Notre Dame?

Rose – Oregon vs. Ohio State*
Comment:  Might be the best game of the bunch. Chip Kelly’s wide open Quack Attack against Ohio State’s old-style defense.

*--locked in

Here is my final regular-season top five. You can see the entire top 25 later Sunday:
1.Alabama
2. TCU
3. Texas
4. Cincinnati
5. Florida

BCS bowl lineup and my top five

When was the last time Penn State won a bowl game or beat Iowa???? I didn't know Paterno played QB. He would probably do better against Iowa then Clark, check out those stats. Who did Penn State beat or SCHEDULE this year???? At least Iowa beat the Pac 10 runnerup who lost in overtime to champion Oregon. People need to get over this Penn State aura. Just take Notre Dame if you want tradition and fanbase instead of what happened on the field of play.

Bottom line is UC played better ranked teams (and on the road) than Texas.

UC beat # 13, #14 on road, #24 at home
Texas beat #22 road, #21 at home

Thats all you need to know

BCS bowl lineup and my top five

What a travesity. Although BSU/TCU would be a great game, these teams did not work all year to rematch a poinsettia bowl from last year. They have earned the right to play the supposed big boys from the overrated big $$$$$ conferences. This match up is perfect for the BCS and no one else. You will have undefeated teams a sure sell out while preserving the precious BCS conferences from being exposed. This is a slap in the face to true fans and the real parody that exists but kept carefully hidden by the BCS to keep the big Alumni conference cash registers ringing. America is tired of the hoax of BCS school dominance. The Fiesta Bowl was the one that proved it. THE BSU OKLAHOMA GAME WAS ONE OF THE BEST IN THE HISTORY OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL. If you are not going to have a playoff, at least give these well deserved teams a shot at the big boys. They have earned it. If this is the matchup the BCS wins again and I am apauled at the insult it would be on the intelligence of the american football fans with this BCS self preserving game. Its a great way to bring down a Fiesta Bowl boycott. C"mon guys you are better than this. Do not ruin a great bowl. It is a BCS bowl and should have a BCS conference play BSU or TCU and you know it. Please don’t sell out. The Fiesta Bowl is supposed to be the Mavrick, remember??????

TCU at #2...are you kidding me?  The best team they beat is a mediocre Clemson team, who won't even be in the top 25 after yesterday's loss.  Both Texas and Florida would throttle TCU, Cincinnati, and Boise St.

Boise and TCU could even be better next year with all the young talent that have on their rosters.
That may be another big reason to not let them gain traction this year. What if they both won and started the year in the top 5. You might have two non AQ teams playing for it all next year. Best to play them off each other and put Ohio State and USC in the top 5 instead.

National Title game who should play? Listed below are who the teams beat (ranked now as of saturday) and teams who were ranked (was column) when they beat them. Forget the names on jersey, just look at who they played and see which 2 you would put in title game. Also included is if they beat them at home or away (harder to win on road).

Which 2 teams would you put in soley based on on the field performance?

SCOREBOARD!!!  Iowa beat Penn State... in Happy Valley.  The Hawkeyes deserve the BCS bid.

Why is the BCS afraid of placing TCU and Boise against the BCS elite?   Afraid that both TCU and Boise will win and destroy their money making machine for the 6 BCS conferences.   Boise and TCU could even be better next year with all the young talent that have on their rosters.   I would rather Florida and Iowa/Penn St. play the BCS Busters.

People look at scores, make assumptions and then disregard their own team's weaknesses.
Just a wild guess. You are a Iowa fan.
