Multiple traffic tickets by Cam Newton

Cam Newton apparently had multiple traffic tickets during 2007 and 2008 while at Florida according to records obtained from the Alachua County Clerk of the Court website.

The website shows that a Cameron Jerrell Newton with the Auburn quarterback's birthdate (May 11, 1989) had 12 tickets over a two-year period. All of the tickets were for what would be considered minor moving or non-moving traffic violations. One of those tickets remains unresolved according to the records and a court spokesperson.

"I don't know why it hasn't been sent to a collection agency yet," the official said.

The ticket, for driving with a suspended license, was given on Nov. 3, 2008 according to the official. It was continued to June 8, 2009. Attempts to reach the attorney identified by the court who represented Newton were not immediately successful.

Gainesville, Fla. is in Alachua County.

Dodd is Showing What Gets Covered Up by the Gator

;     &nbs
p;  Dodd is only showing what can get covered up by meyer and co at the UF. If this cat played for any other college and had not 1 but 12 tickets in a two year period with 1 still outstanding. It would have come out plus the player would have be arrested for the outstanding one. There was a diving under suspension that was not made public. UGA had a player arrested a month ago for not showing up for a ticket for driving 12 mph over the speed limit. But Gator players have open tickets for several years and they just bury the ticket. I guess meyer had more power in Florida that Dodd or anyone else knew. Thats how these THUGS that play for the gators are not playing on a prision football team.

Pathetic.  Just pathetic.  Dodd you're a hack.  I'm glad I don't suck at my career as much as you do.

So what if he had multiple parking tickets, most college kids get them anyway,I actually had a little respect for you until you published this,if you're going to start looking into a kids past driving history or "alledged"academic misconduct from 2 years ago than I suggest you start looking into every so called high profile student athlete,I guess beating up or choking girlfriends just doesn't compare to parking tickets, the focus should be on whether they received any money to play football, not on what happened 2-3 years ago at a different college. This is turning into an absolute witch hunt and if these allegations never bear any hard evidence(so-called sources don't count) then if I were his family I would sue every single one of you hacks for destroying this kids charachter

actually this blog has a lot to do with the story

1-  a guy who has outstanding tickets against him, maybe says I can do what I want and....
2- I didn't steal that computer, hell I didn't even know I bought a stolen computer....
3- why did I throw my computer out the window?  well duh it was HOT!!!  oops did I say that??
4- why would you think I would cheat on an exam or term paper??
5- me take money to play football?

kind of follows a trail to me...

OK.  This is the absolute jumping of the shark.  We, me and my wife, lived outside Gainseville for a year.  She worked at the hospital there, and let me tell you.  They are some ticketing sobs.  Park on a line in the parking garage and you get a ticket.  It's no surprise to have A LOT of tickets there for sure.  BTW, my wife was NOT a student, but a nurse there and she got 5 tickets in 7 months just from the parking nazis.  That said, what the hell does this have to do with ANYTHING?  How many tickets have you had in your life Dodd?

What does the Florida team, many who have graduated years ago, have to do with this stupid article? Seriously, try to make a point when arguing.

Dodd, Dodd, Dodd. You have joined the league of witch hunting, dirt-bag, low-life scum-sucking, unethical (I hesitate to use the term journalist). I daily look forward to reading your posts. But you have revealed that you have no credibility.

I employ young men ages 18 - 30.  It is extremely rare (less than 10%) to find one that doesn't have a driving record with multiple violations and most have had a suspended license.  Some of those men have become excellent employees with a successful career.  Wouldn't we all be in a sad state if our current standing was based on our past!  Let's see all these reporters so quick to report this stuff lay their past out for the world to see!
