LSU’s three suspended players are expected to be reinstated on Tuesday CBSSports.com has learned.

Defensive backs Tyrann Mathieu, Tharold Simon as well as running back Spencer Ware were suspended for Saturday’s Auburn game following reported failed drug tests. Asked following the game if the players would return for the Alabama game on Nov. 5, coach Les Miles said, “I probably know the answer to that but I don’t want to talk about it.”

The New Orleans Times-Picayune reported last week that the players would be suspended only one game.  The three were not around the team for LSU’s 45-10 win over Auburn.

At the time of his suspension, Mathieu was considered a Heisman and All-American candidate. Ware was the team’s leading rusher. LSU will now have 11 days to prepare at full strength for Alabama. The game marks the between 1-2 teams in the AP poll in five years.

LOL at Bammer inbreds trying to play the holier than thou card when your school is the worst ncaa violator of all time. From an article earlier in the year.

"The NCAA Committee on Infractions released a statement last year calling the University of Alabama-Tuscaloosa the following:

A "serial repeat violator," with an "abysmal infractions track record" and an "extensive recent history of infractions cases unmatched by any other member institution in the NCAA.”"

tory-ncaa

And that is just one of many articles from this year ALONE found with a quick google search. Yours is one of the most classless programs of all time and you want to act stupid because LSU ONLY suspended three key players for smoking fake marijuana against one of its biggest rivals who happened to be ranked? What a joke. Bammer would have waited to report the incident until it was time to play Vandy, if they reported it at all. I think you Bammers are just upset that you have to face LSU at full strength because you know you need all the help you can get to beat us. Why don't you idiots go poison some trees or something because you would look less ignorant doing that than you do here spouting off nonsense.

PS Why is Bammers team named after a womans monthly visitor? I mean, it's fitting considering you lost a bcs game to Utah and embarrassed the entire SEC, but really, wtf?

Saban doesn't put up with thugs. Period. Deal with it. LSU is a thug program. Bama is not. Bottom line. The whole country perceives it that way and the whole country ain't wrong. trying to speak down to your level corndogs.

SHOCKING! Miles reinstates thugs. Shocking. Raise your hands if your shocked. That's what I thought. He'll eat grass while his players will continue to smoke it. The NCAA should crack down.

dmcginity asked, "so what should happen to college football players caught smoking weed?"

The implied fact here is that the three suspended players got caught smoking weed.  *They did not.*   Synthetic marijuana is a generic name to many products sold across the nation in convenience stores, all designed to give a weed-like sensation without being against the law.

I can only speculate that what happened here was the players used some, and it was probably bought over the counter, not illegally.  As it turns out, although all but five types of Synthetic Marijuana are *legal*, ALL of them, legal or not, are *against LSU team rules.*

I hope that clears it up for you (and others).

There is stupid, then there is Bama stupid. Where do you wanna start on the shady crap that goes on in Tuscalooser. Guess it doesn't matter that all any suspensions other than our LB Sheppard (Close but he is a receiver, you idiot) jwere self imposed. I know you are wondering what that means. We suspended them ourselves. You guys don't even drug test during the season. Finally, you want to see class, watch the Tuscaloosa Waffle House fight. Tell me Bleauxs, what do you have less of, class or teeth?

Hey Tiny Tots. Do your homework. Lacy was a pass for us. Plus the turf toe will NOT be 100%. TR is all man, but we have an adequate stable we rotate in with Ware Hilliard Ford Blue Magee. Difference is at QB where AJ will be a deer in a headlights

You obviously have no idea as to what the hell your talking about, corndog.  "Bama has Richardson, period."?  Is that right?  I think your forgetting one back in particular who hasn't been playing much because of turf toe (So that he can be ready to go Nov. 5th) by the name of EDDIE LACY.  You know that guy?  The one Saban stole out of your back yard?

Jalston Fowler has had pretty good numbers too, sweetheart.

Grass eater is a win at all costs kind of coach.  JJ's incident,  The LB, I think his name is Sheppard (I guess 4 games is sufficient but still), Now these 3 (they weren't even suspended for 7 days)....Grass eater is sending a clear message to his players:  If you screw up, you'll miss a game or maybe even a few, but you'll be back to playing for the rest of the season.  18-23 yr. old kids aren't going to pass up on the pipe when they've seen that the worst that can happen is a 1 game suspension.

This kind of discipline will come back to haunt grass eater, mark my words.  This is like the 4th or 5th incident that has occured since the summer in reagrds to this football team.  The coaches don't care, the Admin. doesn't care, the fans danm sure don't care!

Its only a matter of time before something big happens to this team.
