End of the line for Ryan Perrilloux?

Posted on: February 18, 2008 9:16 pm

As a three-time "loser", Ryan Perrilloux is running out of chances at LSU.

The talented LSU quarterback's third career suspension came down Monday from coach Les Miles. The announcement contained no specifics but apparently it is the result of a bunch of little stuff like being late for meetings, classes etc. Except that Perrilloux has exactly no equity built up with Miles. The three suspensions have been for different and troubling reasons

Combine that with the fact that Perrilloux arguably saved LSU's season with effective backup work and his do-or-die start in the SEC championship game. This was going to be his team in 2008. Miles has little behind him on the depth chart but it is clear the coach has little patience. I scraped up this two-day old blog http://www.fanblogs.com/lsu/007501.

if you really want to get into rumor mongering.

Bottom line: Don't be surrpised if Crazy Les boots even crazier Ryan. How do you screw up such a great situation? From quarterback of the defending national champions to looking for a school to transfer to.

End of the line for Ryan Perrilloux?

No chance.  Miles wouldn't remove thug gang-banger Prentice Elliot from his OSU squad when he had extra talent at receiver.  Why would he kick Perrilloux off the team when he needs quarterbacks?  Miles is a "win at all costs" type of guy and Perrilloux is no Elliot.

End of the line for Ryan Perrilloux?

Perrilloux will play.  A little(third suspension) misconduct won't keep the tigers best chance to win 10 games off the field.

End of the line for Ryan Perrilloux?

No telling what will happen with this.  However, there is one thing we do know, Miles does not take sh!t from anyone.  If he is oficially done with LSU, then his options will be limited.  he only has 2 years left of elligibility; therefore, he will have to go to a Div 1AA (or whatever they are calling it know) to play football.  Question is, is that what he truly wants to do?  I question whether or not the kid actually wants to play football.  How hard is it to stay in a straight line if you have an opportunity to make it to the next level simply based on your atheltic ability.

This will get interesting over the next few months.

End of the line for Ryan Perrilloux?

If RP gets the boot, don't kid yourselves guys, no major program will waste their time with him.  He'll be playing in C-USA or some FCS program.  That being said, I don't think he'll be kicked off because these were team and school related issues-not legal issues.  I just don't want to become another Free Shoes University.

Bye Bye Bayou...Hello Beamer ball!

Don't be surprised, this guy seems perfect for old Frank to redeem himself from MV-II.

End of the line for Ryan Perrilloux?

Hey, come on over, Ryan. Kentucky needs a QB, and I seriously doubt Mike Hartline can get the job done once Pulley has gone. Consider yourself a lock to start when you are eligible.
