Keith Gallon (Oklahoma)
Travis Wear (North Carolina)
David Wear (North Carolina)

Here are a few notes about the rosters and game:

  • John Wall, the nation's best point guard, was not eligible for inclusion because he is a fifth-year senior.
  • Of the 24 players selected, 21 are committed to a school.
  • Of those 21, nine have decided to play in the ACC next season.
  • The Big East has five of them and the Big 12 has four.
  • North Carolina has four signees in the game. That's twice as many as any other program.
  • Oklahoma, Duke and Villanova each have two signees in the game.

Rosters set for McDonald's All-American game

It's not just your skills on the court.  McD also factors in scholastic achievement and community service.  Don't think of this as the top 25 players in the nation.  It is a group from the top 100 players that McD wants to be associated with.  A player of questionable character might look great to the Eddie Suttons of the world but not to McD.  People get bent out of shape over this every year but it's the same story.

Gary,

Does Syracuse have any All Americans even in their radar for the next 2-3 years?

HAHA.

Seeing Jennings and Wayans listed one after the other tricked me. I glanced at it and thought I saw Waylon Jennings.

No John Jenkins. Seriously? The kid is averaging 42.5 points per game, leading the nation in scoring, is facing double teams everywhere, and still scores the lights out. He's been labeled the best pure shooter in his class. In his final home game, he scored 60 points. I'm biased since the kid is a Vanderbilt committment, but he's just demolishing right now. His lowest scoring game is somewhere in the 30s, which shows you his consistency. He's one of the best offensive weapons to ever come out of Tennessee.

Kenny Boynton. Reminds me of Ben Gordon and Brandon Jennings.

Rosters set for McDonald's All-American game

Duke's players - Kelly & Plumlee are ranked 11-12 on one site and 7-9 on another. It's N.C.'s "you know who" that are ranked in the 40's & 60's. I agree some players got screwed but none of them were ranked above Duke's players. Also the two Ok. and Villanova players and 3 Carolina players are on the same team. The 2 duke players are not. How about switching one twin & Kelly?

the selection for this team has been a joke for a long time.  it's biased towards duke especially, but also carolina.  michael thompson, neil fingleton, etc.  if it was another school that had these players who are ranked in the 60s, 70s, or 80s, those players would have no shot of making the cut.  there are several players who got screwed in the selection this year, but it happens every year.

If you'd like to check out their stats its right here before reply.

Or read about them leading their number 1 team?

But I guess it's just easier to bash them.  And their recruiting rankings actually went down after the committed so early to UNC.
