Lawson: "I'm ready to play."

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Just minutes after missing North Carolina's first-round win over Radford, Ty Lawson promised he'd be "ready" for Saturday's second-round game with LSU here at the Greensboro Coliseum.

"It's not painful anymore, just stiff," Lawson said when asked about his injured right toe. "I'm ready to play."

Lawson dressed but did not participate in Thursday's 101-58 win over Radford.

He has not played since a March 8 win over Duke.

Why is everyone writing off LSU? Im pretty sure CSU Northridge gave Memphis a pretty good run but hey maybeim nuts for thinking UNC can lose and that LSU might beat them.

Lawson: 'I'm ready to play.'

Roy did not seem like he wanted Lawson to play this weekend unless he was absolutely 100% with no chance for further aggrevation and he had gone through a full practice with the team.

Here is to hoping the Heels can play similar D against LSU and do not need Lawson's services on Saturday.  Then Ty can be 100% for next week.
