Calipari and staff leave Calipari's home

A three-car convoy featuring John Calipari just left Calipari's home without comment.

Why?

It could be to grab an early dinner.

It could be to go to Wilson Air and jump a plane to Lexington.

But let me say this: There's no way three cars of people -- including all the assistants -- would board a plane to Lexington. That's not how this stuff works. So speculation that the complete convoy is aimed for the airport is incorrect.

Calipari and staff leave Calipari's home

You nailed it. I graduated from UK in '92. I remember the '96 season when Calipari was such a jerk toward us particularly. After telling us they're going to hire someone "in the family", they go and hire an enemy. I'm sure he'll win there, but he's only looking to feed his ego.  Hopefully, he'll go from there to the NBA and Kentucky can get Travis Ford in a few years.

Calipari and staff leave Calipari's home

WREG just confirmed Cal is gone to UK.

Awful day to be a Tiger fan.

No doubt.  But all would meet and his family would probably go to see him off to the airport.  Most likely, as said all these past 3 days, he is only going to be a Tiger for a matter of minutes.  I've listened in to the Geoff and Gary show for a long time and these past 2 days have been crazier than normal.  Gary what are the odds, now that Cal is likely gone, that Memphis will make a run at Bruce Pearl?  Do you think the odds are in favor of Memphis getting Anderson or Pearl?  I know UT fans are dancing in the street that Cal is leaving Memphis, even though they will still see him every year.  I'm sure this will begin the wrath of UT fans and all the vitriol that will follow:  Do you think Pearl would want to come to Memphis and how much would it cost the UofM?

We saw them eat girabaldi's pizza not to long ago so I will be guessing that atleast one of those cars is headed for the air port.
