DETROIT -- Blake Griffin will hold a news conference later Tuesday to announce his intention to enter the NBA Draft.

"(There will be) no surprises," a source close to the OU program told early Tuesday. Consequently, Griffin has played his final game for the Sooners, who rode the National Player of the Year to the Elite Eight of this season's NCAA tournament.

Griffin averaged 22.7 points and a nation-leading 14.4 rebounds as a sophomore.

The 6-foot-10 forward will almost certainly be the No. 1 pick in June's NBA Draft.

That is pretty accurate. Tyler Hansbrough: great college player, mediocre pro. Of course, that means he's more of a pure basketball player, since most teams in the Not Basketball Association can't even spell defense, let alone play it.

I'm not hating on Hansblow, I was just providing my honest opinion of his talent, he is the next Sister Christian Laettner, Cherokee Parks, etc and you can't deny it.

Why do people hate on Hansbrough so much??  I'm not even a Heels' fan, but I respect his desire to win, and I think if he was on anyone else's team they would love him like Chapel Hill fans do.  You need guys that will do ANYTHING to win a ball game, because at the end of the year, the championship goes to the team on a winning streak.  You guys forget he led a team in scoring when they're the only team in the nation where all five starters average double digit scoring.  That has to account for something.  And who is he posing after, he's in a league all by himself, instead BG should stay in school, have some fire and convince some others to stay too, and see if they can make a championship run.  Yeah the money the money, but Griffin will be the number one pick whether he leaves this year or before Ed Davis does.  Why not pose after Hansbrough and stay all four years be four three time all-american, change some Big 12 records, and most of all win a championship.  If not, aren't all players that leave early nothing but John Caliparis. Do a lot of great things for your school, but leave when better opportunities arise?

He was the best player this year, do you blame him, he will be a better pro than that poser Hansbrough, and I don't want to hear that Hansblow won a championship, Manute Bol could of won with that talent.

I wonder why that loser Katz hasn't taken credit for this story?
