John Wall, the nation's top-rated point guard who remains uncommitted, was been cited for breaking an entering by the Raleigh Police Department, WRAL out of Raleigh reported Monday morning.

The station reported that Wall was charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering in connection with an April 27 break-in at a home at 3924 Laurel Glen Drive in Raleigh. According to WRAL, an officer saw Wall leaving from the rear of the residence and was able to detain him. Two others were also charged -- one while walking along a nearby street, another when he returned to the residence.

How or if this will affect Wall's recruitment is unclear.

He is still publicly considering a number of schools -- among them Kentucky, Duke and Florida.

Was Tyreke Evans riding shotgun?  (sorry if that joke is already posted)  This shouldn't effect Cal wanting him at UK, usually a rap sheet seems to be a pre-requisite to being recruited by Cal

He could enter the draft.

Stern might try to stop him, but he's 19 and his graduating HS class got done last year, so therefore he could get in.

Yes u did miss something...

I don't believe Wall is old enough to enter the NBA draft now...

Also, I think this blown way out of proportion...  The house was empty and it seems to have been a local hangout...

Still a dumb move on his part but it is not like broke into a family's house to steal....

Report: Wall charged with breaking and entering

Well, he isn't on Duke's Lacrosse team so he doesn't deserve being innocent until proven guilty.  Plus, I love how many people never did anything wrong while they were growing up.

My buddies and I used to break in the old lumber yard to have a place to hang out of the weather.  Smoked alot of those left-handed cigs in that old barn.  Plus, our town had an old condemned schoolhouse which had a basketball court inside.  At various times there would be as many as 12 of us in this old gym playing ball.  Breaking and entering..............yes; conduct that makes a kid a questionable character.......no.

The facts should have been reported with this story.

Forget the misdemeanor break-in. And whether or not the house was empty, it's a display of immaturity. No, I don't like the kid because of the immaturity he's showing by soaking up all this good pub and playing games with all the schools on his list. He knows he's wanted by all and he's loving it. UK absolutely does NOT need someone with that mentality. Neither does UNC or Duke. UK needs to go for Bledsoe and let Wall cause severe chemistry problems on another team.

how do we know he isn't the bad apple? I don't know his local HS has not taught him much, but still Mom & Dad have to do their part in teaching him right from wrong.
