The following is the full text of Tim Floyd's Tuesday letter of resignation to USC:

“As of 1 p.m. today, I am resigning as head basketball coach at the University of Souithern California. I deeply appreciate the opportunity afforded me by the university, as well as the chance to know and work with some of the finest young men in college athletics. Unfortunately, I no longer feel I can offer the level of enthusiasm to my duties that is deserved by the university, my coaching staff, my players, their families, and the supporters of Southern Cal. I always promised my self and my family that if I ever felt I could no longer give my full enthusiasm to a job, that I should leave it to others who could. I intend to contact my coaching staff and my players in coming days and weeks to tell them how much each of them means to me. I wish the best to USC and to my successor.”

Memphis is not sleazy.  The sleaze left for Lexington a few months ago.

LMAO @ TigerDrew........thanks!  Nothing I love more than a huge helping of sour grapes for morning.  Save the (non)-witty insults for people who don't know their a$$ from a hole in the ground.  If Cal was/is so dirty, why did everyone from the head of FedEx to Joe Blow on the streets offer money to keep him?

But what is he supposed to do, create a column for it? The blog gives him access to post things quickly and easily, and you don't have to have an opinion on everything you write about in your blog. I dunno, I guess I just didn't see any issues with the content of the blog...

If it was just a press release it could have been posted as such.  I just don't see how this has anything to do with Gary Parrish's opinions or ability to report a story.  This doesn't cut it as a Blog entry.  Floyd wrote more than Parrish; thats not a problem?  Plus I like to stay up late at night busting chops.  I love CBSsportsline and I think everyone knows it.

Are you actually serious CT Hoosier? Who put you in charge of blogging etiquette? I don't see what the problem is, Gary's post was useful and to the point...

Is this a Blog entry?

When I read a Blog written by Gary Parrish, I expect Gary Parrish to have actually written something.  That introductory sentence doesn't cut it.  Love your stuff, Gary.  But you need to spend more time with Doyel.

To be fair, I know you also wrote an article on the subject. I'm judging each independantly.

Ouch... low blow on my Tigers.  All the other coaches prior to Cal were the level of normal sleazy - you know, the same level all the other college coaches are on.

Now if you're using your remark as a jab at Cal, well played sir.  He should go to Memphis, until Cal gets outcoached and the Kentucky fans go crazy... and then he should go to Kentucky.

He should head to Memphis...I guess that would be the logical flow of all things sleazy.
