AKRON, Ohio -- You want to see video of Xavier's Jordan Crawford dunking on LeBron James?

If so, too bad.

Because you're not going to see it.

Thanks to Nike.

Turns out, there were at least two cameras rolling Monday night when Crawford dunked on James during a pick-up game here at the LeBron James Skills Academy. It was a two-handed jam, the kind that would've circulated quickly on YouTube. But Nike officials eliminated that possibility shortly after the dunk happened by allegedly confiscating tapes from various cameramen.

Freelance photographer Ryan Miller was one of the cameramen shooting the game.

He told CBSSports.com that Nike Basketball Senior Director Lynn Merritt took his tape.

"He just said, 'We have to take your tape,'" Miller said. "They took it from other guys, too."

Worth noting is that there is no policy against filming at the LeBron James Skills Academy, and Miller said he had been filming all day without incident. Nobody ever told him to stop. Nobody ever said there was a problem ... until after Crawford dunked on James.

"LeBron called Lynn over and told him something," Miller said. "That's how I knew his name was Lynn. LeBron said, 'Hey, Lynn. Come here.'"

Minutes later, Miller said Merritt demanded his tape.

"There's nothing I can think of besides LeBron just not wanting it online," Miller said. "It's a good story to tell people, I guess. But then again, I'm kind of pissed. I lost my tape."

WRONG, DUMBA**!  You GAVE your tape away! You didn't LOSE it.  Miller is a disgrace to us photogs and videographers trying to break in everywhere.

Nike does not want you to see that dunk

These shoe companies are getting out of hand nowadays, which is not a new development. Hello!!! If you are a basketball player, even in the MVP of the NBA, there will be a chance that you will get slammed on at least one time. Period. Especially if you are in a pickup game. If you were so worried about getting those tapes because someone boomed you, then you have not been playing. Now that I think of it I'm surprised that Nike didn't delay or blackout the game when Courtney Lee caught him twice in the Eastern Conference Finals. This is ridiculous. If you can show the countless times that you have embarrass or slammed someone, then it should be right to show someone getting the best of you. It is about being human and humble, which Mr. James is starting show he is not!!!

so aweome lebron is someone who lives on image and perception and it sickens me....how is it that he is held higher than everyone in the nba when he has not even won a title? marketing is trying to make everyone embrace someone who is a sore loser, wade from the same draft class has a title but noone would dare put him ahead of the big bad lebron

The story isn't the dunk, it is the fact that LaBron doesn't want anyone to see it. You are right, who cares that he got dunked on. It's funny, but it counts for nothing in the end. But it says something about LaBron that he doesn't want it to get out. It's probably the highlight of this kids life. And instead of letting him bask in the limelight for his 15 minutes LaBron and Nike shut him down. Simply to preserve James' basketball image. I personally would have loved it if LaBron would rolled with it, even gotten a public laugh about it.
But maybe that would take a big person rather than a big persona.

Crawford goes to Xavier, thats a college, not a high school, and hes a sophmore there.  But even though lebron is smart in the sense that now no one will ever have seen it, and at least in the near future it will be forgotten.  But i would not be suprised if eventually if Xavier does well this year, or Crawford has a break out season, it will come out that he was the guy who no body saw dunk on Lebron
