Nike does not want you to see that dunk

AKRON, Ohio -- You want to see video of Xavier's Jordan Crawford dunking on LeBron James?

If so, too bad.

Because you're not going to see it.

Thanks to Nike.

Turns out, there were at least two cameras rolling Monday night when Crawford dunked on James during a pick-up game here at the LeBron James Skills Academy. It was a two-handed jam, the kind that would've circulated quickly on YouTube. But Nike officials eliminated that possibility shortly after the dunk happened by allegedly confiscating tapes from various cameramen.

Freelance photographer Ryan Miller was one of the cameramen shooting the game.

He told CBSSports.com that Nike Basketball Senior Director Lynn Merritt took his tape.

"He just said, 'We have to take your tape,'" Miller said. "They took it from other guys, too."

Worth noting is that there is no policy against filming at the LeBron James Skills Academy, and Miller said he had been filming all day without incident. Nobody ever told him to stop. Nobody ever said there was a problem ... until after Crawford dunked on James.

"LeBron called Lynn over and told him something," Miller said. "That's how I knew his name was Lynn. LeBron said, 'Hey, Lynn. Come here.'"

Minutes later, Miller said Merritt demanded his tape.

"There's nothing I can think of besides LeBron just not wanting it online," Miller said. "It's a good story to tell people, I guess. But then again, I'm kind of pissed. I lost my tape."

Come on LJ, don't become a prima donna

There isn't a player in the NBA that hasn't been dunked on.  The best shot-blockers of all time have been dunked on multiple times.  Lebron already had the incident where he showed no sportsmanship after getting beat by Orlando and thats forgiveable because of the frustration level, and hepefully he learned from it.  Now he calls an assistant over to be the designated bad guy and force people to give up their video tapes because a college player got the best of him?   When he dunked on NBA veterans as a rookie out of high school, did he do his best to make sure those highlights weren't put on ESPN?  No, he probably called up all his buddies to tell them to watch the clip.  The best term to describe these actions is "Pu**y".  I love watching Lebron play, but stop being such a little kid.

That reporter should have never repeated the story...what a puss...they would have to have security wrestle it from me...he gave it up and then he cried about it...LBJ is getting too big for his own good...hope he never wins it, it would be a better story than if he won it.

Boycott Nike

Let's see if the people can make it happen.  Let's boycott Nike and Lebron products until the video surfaces.  He wants to protect his image so he can sell product, well let's not buy it until he shows he is human.  And it is not like he has this auroa of invinceability, his team didn't even make it to the finals.

Nike does not want you to see that dunk

Embarassed  The thing is that things like this happen all the time during normal gameplay, you have to realize that for every dunk that Jordan Crawford does over Lebron that Lebron would do it 20 times for that every one, every dog has his day, we all have momentary lapses of concentration, but I bet it made Crawford's day.

The sad part is that corporate America (NIKE) bullied their way into confiscating the tape, if I was the photographer I would of said no, but I'm sure he wants to be invited back to the camp.
