Nike does not want you to see that dunk

AKRON, Ohio -- You want to see video of Xavier's Jordan Crawford dunking on LeBron James?

If so, too bad.

Because you're not going to see it.

Thanks to Nike.

Turns out, there were at least two cameras rolling Monday night when Crawford dunked on James during a pick-up game here at the LeBron James Skills Academy. It was a two-handed jam, the kind that would've circulated quickly on YouTube. But Nike officials eliminated that possibility shortly after the dunk happened by allegedly confiscating tapes from various cameramen.

Freelance photographer Ryan Miller was one of the cameramen shooting the game.

He told CBSSports.com that Nike Basketball Senior Director Lynn Merritt took his tape.

"He just said, 'We have to take your tape,'" Miller said. "They took it from other guys, too."

Worth noting is that there is no policy against filming at the LeBron James Skills Academy, and Miller said he had been filming all day without incident. Nobody ever told him to stop. Nobody ever said there was a problem ... until after Crawford dunked on James.

"LeBron called Lynn over and told him something," Miller said. "That's how I knew his name was Lynn. LeBron said, 'Hey, Lynn. Come here.'"

Minutes later, Miller said Merritt demanded his tape.

"There's nothing I can think of besides LeBron just not wanting it online," Miller said. "It's a good story to tell people, I guess. But then again, I'm kind of pissed. I lost my tape."

Lebron is only a god in his own eyes.  Anybody ever see 300?  The god-king?  Yeah, Jordan Crawford (Leonitas) should that even a King has flaws.

Thats a good point about Lebron not shaking hands after.  Ive liked LJ's demeanor since he got in the league, but im starting to wonder if the Lebron Dwight Howard brought out is the true Lebron. IE:Punk A B

Pens (and a few others.......

You're missing the point. It isn't as much the fact that James got dunked on, it's the fact that video evidence of it was confiscated after the fact. Which is completely ridiculous. I'm not sure exactly why they would do that. It's not the first and certainly not the last time it will happen. The Queen needs to get off his high horse and let the tape go. He's doing more harm to himself by keeping it hidden.

Not that anyone cares, but Nike released a statement pretty much the exact opposite of what the cameraman said.  They said that filming was prohibited for parts of the day, including this event, and that in the last 4 years every cameraman had agreed to it b/c there were parts of the camp they were able to film until two people this year decided to film after filming was allowed.  I believe Nike over the freelance, poorly paid photographer who is probably just griping for a story and a steady job.  I mean, if Nike was lying I'm sure every photographer there would come out and back up their fellow man, but since that's not happening and only TWO people were filming at this point, it sounds like he was just lying to try to get a story/job.  Also, someone on like page 6 of comments said they took "the kid's" film away.  The guy is an adult freelance photographer, so that doesn't even make any sense.

He's putting on a camp to help out kids and everyone tries to find fault with him.  Guess it follows the "no good deed goes unpunished" line of thinking.

It has nothing to do with ripping Lebron it's because he is to scared to let someone see him get dunked on. The guy is a punk. He is a good ball player but he must have a very fragile ego. He needs to grow up and be a man.

GO X!! This is good publicity for Xavier after that annoying Twitter stuff from Burrel last week. Xavier is a powerhouse and maybe people will start recognizing the name if this tape ever leaks!
