Syracuse added a consensus top five prospect Tuesday when Fab Melo committed to the Orange.

“Fab’s going to go to Syracuse,” Weston (Fla.) Sagemont coach Adam Ross told Scout.com. “I think he really enjoyed his visit there. I think it shocked him and I’m not sure he anticipated what he saw up there.”

Melo is a 7-foot center from Brazil.

Scout.com ranks him as the No. 5 prospect in the Class of 2010.

He chose the Orange over Louisville, Connecticut and Florida State.

If Cuse gets Brandon Knight from the 2010 Class, that will be the best class since I don't know when.

#1 Overall Brandon Knight G (Pending)
#5 Overall Fab Melo C
#26 Overall Dion Waiters G
#77 Overall Baye Moussa Kieta C
#90 Overall C.J. Fair F

Hey H-Townhitman, you obviously have no clue what you are talking about. Yes Cuse did lose their best player in Flynn,...But Devendorf is Long gone, and Rick Jackson is far from our best player returning. Arinze Onuaku is a beast  inside along with Jackson....Mark this down Wesley Johnson is an absolute freak, you will be amazed , you'll see,...plus white boy Rautins and Freshman Brandon Triche in the back court. On the Bench you still have Scoop Jardine and Mookie Jones.......BUT IT GETS BETTER, come 2010 and Cuse has arguably the best class of frosh coming in...Fab Melo 7'0" and growing,....CJ Fair -stud, and and Dion Waiters,...all three Rival top 25 for 10'....Hats off to Mike Hopkins and Bernie Fine for the strong recruiting...Syracuse will dominate Big East for the next three years.......Rant Over

Hey jpel19 the last I remember the U of L busted your butt in in the regular season and then in the Big East tourament, and yes your school sign Fab Melo ok but you lose your best player in Jon Flynn, who was your heart and soul and the best player you'll got returning is Eric Devendorf and Rick Jackson.  I watch a clip on youtube were Fab Melo who look like a big stiff got his crap cramm back into his face at a summer work out by a 5'11 Petyon Silva.  So in a way thank you because after witness that video this look like Felton Spencer.

travis34uk this guy take these kids and introduce them to the high rollers in the NBA and introduce them to the good life of the world and then John Calapari comes in and promise these kid's that if you play for me you be in the NBA next year.  Now i'm a 16 year old kid, my mom is never home and my dad is a heroin addict and my brother and sister has raised me.  Now i've got a killa crossover with a decent mid range jumper and I've got a 42 inch vertical leap, this guy WWW comes into my life and takes me to hang out with him to a Knicks game guess who's there Jay Z, Michael Jordan.  After the game this guy take me to the club to hang with Carmelo and Lebron, but Kobe not there because he is reading a book (LOL) so WWW suggest that I listen to this wonderful coach John Calapari.  So Travis what would you do, well my SAT isn't that good I guess I've got to go a junior college, but wait coach Calapari promises that I don't need to worry about my grades just play for me.

the fact Rick Pitino isn't connected to WWW the way that John Calapari is,You do realize that WWW is an advisor for Nike, which means that he is connected to every Nike school which includes Kentucky, Oregon, USC, Florida, UConn, Ohio State, Michigan State, Texas, Oklahoma, Miami, Arizona, Washington, Alabama, Purdue, UNC, Duke, Wake Forest.  The list goes on and on.  Not just Kentucky.  For example, Josh Selby's mom apparently talked to someone, and most people believe it is WWW.  And now the schools at the top of Selby's list are Kentucky, Oregon, Louisville, and Memphis.  UK, Oregon, and Memphis are with Nike.  So, get your facts right, and look up the espn article about Selby's decommitment from Tennessee.  The article says the same thing I just posted

I even am going to give you the link:)

Well what does that mean, the fact Rick Pitino isn't connected to WWW the way that John Calapari is, the fact that WWW introduce these kid's to the likes of M.J. Lebron James, Jay Z, Camelo Anthony and then pushes them to John Calapari.  If I was one of these kid's I think I would also want to play for the Coach Calapari, these are the type of kid's he will recruit one and done.  Look at his record Dajuan Wagner, Derrick Rose, Tyreke Evans etc, which fine for now but in ten years we will talk.
