The "skirmish" where Tyshawn Taylor dislocated a finger?

Man, that's old news.

The Kansas basketball and football players have now progressed to a second fight -- Round 2! -- that was ignited Wednesday by one of the Morris Twins (either Marcus or Markieff) pushing a KU football player down a set of stairs at an on-campus building, according to The University Daily Kansan .

Witnesses said players from both teams were throwing punches.

Police were called to calm the situation and question students and student-athletes.

Answer...yes, he was eligible and should have been. It has been found that he had no knowledge of the teacher changing his grades, nor did KU or the NCAA. He was also not sent letters telling him there could be problems with his eligiblity while the NCAA tourney was going on. Plus he had all passing grades while at KU.

Does Memphis still have a basketball program?

The Morris Twins are a DISGRACE to the Program

Last year when one of the twins bumped a referee during a game, I said to get rid of him.. and I'll say it again GET RID OF THE MORRIS TWINS!!! There are plenty of talented young men who aren't punks who would love to play basketball at Kansas. The Morris twins aren't going to grow up and take their diapers off anytime soon. I see a suspension coming, and if not, I might stop supporting them.

Marcus and Markief don't deserve the honor of playing division I basketball..

Revoke all their scholarships and kick em out of school.

Its one thing to stick up for your team against another, but in college its all about the school, and if you dont have pride in your school then maybe you shouldnt be going there and I get from this that the Kasketball and football players dont care enough about the school and its rep to not fight amongst each other.  Thats stupid.

If something were to happen to a star player and cost the other sport a shot at a good year why should the guy that caused the issue still be around?

I know Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio let a football player back on the team that hospitalized a fellow MSU hockey player and I say to that is Dantonio has no integrity or honor.  He should have kicked his sorry butt off the team and not thought twice about him, but when you forget to recruit for 2 years and realize you were winning with borrowed talent I guess you do what you have to do to HOPE to win even though it seems Dantonio isnt going to be doing that with HIS players.

WHEN IS PART III GOING TO BE REPORTED? Gary, I am talking to you?  There is a statement the players and Lew Perkins initiated over 3 hours ago!  You were quick to point out Part II, but if you're going to cover this story or half-heartedly report on it then make sure you go the full way and cover everything. It's okay, go ahead and release the statements so that KU is fully covered by you and CBS sports.

I will do it for you!

Kansas University athletic director Lew Perkins met with the KU football and men's basketball teams Wednesday afternoon at the Anderson Family Football Complex.

After the meeting, the following statement was released by selected members of both teams.

"We realize that over the past couple of days we've let a disagreement between a few guys grow bigger than it ever should have. We're embarrassed about that.

"Now we want everyone know that we have met and talked it out. We realize we're all Jayhawks. We're proud of what both teams have accomplished.

"We appreciate the support these teams give each other. We'll be in the stands rooting for each other like we always have.

"We all wear KANSAS on our uniforms, and we're proud of that. We need to act like it. We've met; we're all on the same page, and we will move forward together. The football team is ready to get back to work, focused on Saturday's game against Southern Mississippi, and the basketball team will continue to prepare for another great season."

Basketball - Cole Aldrich, Sherron Collins

Football - Kerry Meier, Todd Reesing, Jake Sharp, Darrell Stuckey

Throwing someone down the stairs is pretty hardcore. Most of the time, athletes or any students fight off campus. I never saw a bunch of athletes fight outside the union or in a building for classes when I was in school.

Crap like this happens at a lot of school, the only reason that is really getting attention is because Kansas basketball and football are both looking so good this year.  If this happened at Missouri or K State, it wouldn't even make the back page of a local paper.  Believe me, both these teams will be in A LOT better shape after this week.  The basketball team will be doing suicides til there legs fall off and windsprints galore for the football team.  I have a feeling Mangino will not be happy about this.  Unless the chick they were fighting over was Megan Fox, is probably wasn't worth it.

It shows what the Morris twins are, immature, selfish, and not the brightest bulbs on the string. Can't wait until the other gansta twins show up.

HMM,

The Morris twins in a fight. I couldn't imagine that scenario....Oh and the earth is round, the grass is green, and women can now vote.........I'm surprised they weren't off campus at a Bible study or helping under-privileged youth.

Can someone please post a pic of this chick? Depending on what she looks like it may tell us if it was alcohol related

jbbenny1, great post man.  Hey, since you seem like such a wildly astute college basketball fan I was wondering if you could help me think of a player who's name escapes me.  A couple years ago he got mad at a server and waited outside the restaurant for him.  The player threw a sucker punch and woke up the next day claiming someone hit him with a brick in the face only to find out it wasn't a brick just a one punch knockout from a dishwasher/busboy.  Any idea who that was?
