Stacey Poole, as expected , gave Kentucky its first commitment from the Class of 2010 on Thursday.

"This decision was very hard," said Poole, a 6-foot-5 wing from Florida. "It came down to the wire."

Poole is ranked No. 86 by MaxPreps.com, No. 58 by Scout.com and No. 27 by Rivals.com.

He was also considering South Carolina.

UK lands first commitment from Class of 2010

Uk is probably off Doron Lamb now that Poole has commited.  just my opinionPayne is very high on UK, he just visited yesterday and his coach was quoted as saying UK is at the top of his list.CJ Leslie had scheduled 3 visits in October including midnight madness.UK is on Tobias Harris's final 5 list and he is scheduled for midnight madness.UK will get either Brandon Knight or Josh Selby. Not sure which but from all indications it will be one or the other.UK is still on Terrence Jones, Jelan Kendrick, and Roscoe Smith. They all list UK in there final 5-6.UK is probably going to come in 2nd for Kyrie Irving to Duke so I wont count him.
I dont know which of these players will be Wildcats but it is a pretty good bet more than a couple will be in Lexington in the fall of 2010.

I think the following will be a fine follow up class:
Stacey Poole
Brandon Knight
CJ Leslie
Adrean Payne
Doron Lamb

That's a top 2 class and, in my opinion, beats out snake Mata's OSU class.  Sibbert is overrated as well: short, slow, few real power moves.  He's hyped because of his supposedly legendary brother and because Columbus basketbal is not all that competitive.  Adrean Payne is the real big man in Ohio.  Mark my words: that class above will be special.

Here is a link to some Stacey Poole video. He looks pretty smooth. I believe it said it was shot at the Bob Gibbons Classic in North Carolins. To give credit to the link, it is "Walter's Wildcat World, A Blog of Big Blue Proportions".

"I do not care where this guy or that guy is rated.  If this little madman is a slasher and enjoys dropping the rock in the big man's hands when he is going to the hole...well, you can't put a number on that."

Funny i thought they were called assists which as far as i can remember are a trackable statistic.

No, it's Florida that's sick. According to Urban Meyer, they all have the flu.

I do not care where this guy or that guy is rated.  If this little madman is a slasher and enjoys dropping the rock in the big man's hands when he is going to the hole...well, you can't put a number on that.  Also, I would like to see what his teammates think about him.  That, more than anything, is important...what your peers see, feel and believe is usually what you really are.  By the way, Poole, get ready for fast horses, slow women, and over 24K coaches at every game!
