Poll not pole

I'm impressed...

Purdue loses and you keep them at #4. I would have even dropped them by a spot or two to #5 or #6. When you lose to a lower ranked squad even on the road they deserve to drop just like Kansas dropped two spots. Same for Duke.

My question is how does West Virginia stay a head of say someone named G'town or Michigan State? In any poll not just your's. I mean G'town beat Uconn but West Virginia lost again agaisnt Notre Dame... who the last time I checked wasn't ranked or that good outside of Harangody.

Grizz

P.S. I would actually apreciate an answer on the West Virginia question Gary Parrish, I know your busy but it still baffles me.

Two problems with this one.  One how on earth is UNC a top 10 team?  Yes they've beaten Ohio State and Michigan State but they've also lost four times including an embarrassing one to the College of Charleston.  I can see them at #15 and that's generous in some ways.  It's time to stop treating this team like your expecting Ty Lawson to appear later in the season and realize this is not a final four or even elite caliber team this year.  Next year probably, but not this year.  Second no Georgia Tech?  I realize they have 3 losses and a only one great win but it was against a top 5 team at the time (top 6 now in your poll) and the two losses came to a currently #18 Dayton and a pretty decent Florida State team.  While the Georgia loss is terrible, that same team also just gave Kentucky a run for their money in Rupp Arena.  So while I doubt they have any chance of turning their season around, they have demonstrated to me at least that they can provide some pretty tough competition for these teams.  I just feel Georgia Tech should at least be around the 20-26 range especially when teams such as Clemson have practically the same resume.  Except oh wait, Clemson has beaten an overrated Butler team and lost to duke while GT beat Duke...  Same records, bigger win.  Just sayin'...

Most of the rankings make sense (I prefer Parrish's method of not overreacting to one game), but the UNC ranking is pretty perplexing.  I would be curious to hear Gary's explanation for that decision.

@ The16thPrez:

What an absolute ignorant pole Please tell me you see the irony in this statement. Judging from your other spelling, I would guess you do not. It's poll, not pole. Reserve comments like that for use under the pseudonym The43rdPrez.

I love my Wildcats, but even I agree that Texas is the better team...right now.  But Texas came awful close to losing to Arkansas so that argument can be made either way.  But what I dont agree with...UNC has lost 4 games, one to College of Charleston and they are still #10.  That makes no sense to me.
