Cameron Tatum and Melvin Goins will be reinstated to the Tennessee basketball team Sunday.

Brian Williams will remain on indefinite suspension.

"While I can’t comment on specifics, the degree of discipline applied reflects levels of individual involvement based on the investigation, as well as UT’s judicial affairs process," said Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl. "I do want to thank our fans for their patience as we have worked—and continue to work—through this."

CBSSports.com reported Tuesday , citing a source, that Tyler Smith (already dismissed from the team) had taken responsibility for the guns found in a rental car Smith, Tatum, Goins and Williams occupied Jan. 1, and that Williams had taken responsibility for the marijuana. The source said then that charges against Tatum and Goins were expected to be dropped, and that Tatum and Goins -- both of whom, according to a source, passed drug tests after their arrest -- would soon be reinstated.

Williams will also have an opportunity for reinstatement.

It should come later this season, the source said.

The ninth-ranked Vols are 13-2 heading into Saturday's game with No. 21 Ole Miss.

Tatum and Goins will be available for Tuesday night's game against Alabama.

Vols' Goins and Tatum to be reinstated Sunday

bruce pearl confiscated their weed so that he and his fat son could smoke it and eat it with some brownies, UT is such a joke school , its sad that the only team with integrity in that entire school is the women's bball team. The ncaa needs to boot out the football and men;s bball teams for 3 seasons.

wow, very insightful. really? a joke school eh? we did defeat previously unbeaten Kansas last Sunday. And, Kiffin is apparently good enough to coach at USC.

Sometimes less IS more!

The way the Vols have been playing lately, I'm not sure we need any of these guys back. We just knocked off the number one team and all the upcoming opponents and their jealous supporters are sweating bullets at the prospect of having to play Bruce Pearl's revamped Vols. But it won't hurt to have a little more depth, especially at tournament time. Go Vols!
