UK has not played any division 2 schools.

And I wish all the UK haters who think they are not #1 would suggest who they believe is #1 and why.  It would just lend a little credence to the argument.

As for myself, the argument should be who are the top 4 teams (#1 seeds).  Kentucky, Kansas, Syracuse, ? (now a tie between Texas, Villanova)

UCONN beat Texas who had a #1 ranking at that time.  So, yeah UK beat UCONN!  Everybody has close games to underachieving teams--the fact that UK is able to pull off wins even when they are playing terrible is what sets them apart from teams.  Lets not forget that Texas almost lost to Arkansas.  Who do you think should be #1? There is no question that UK should have the #1 ranking!  The only other team who could be considered for #1 is Kansas and they lost to a Tennessee (SEC) team that were missing 4 starters!  Also WVU sucks!

Pretty sure UK beat UConn who beat Texas by double digits.  And last chance I had, ALMOST doesn't count.  I dont get why every thinks the Big East is just so awesome when half of the league is good and the other half is not.  Yeah the SEC is down a little this year compared to years past, but how many times has the Big East put two teams in the final four at the same time?  Go look at NCAA champions from the last decade or two and tell me how many are Big East.

90-Mountain West-UNLV
95-PAC 10-UCLA
97-PAC 10-Arizona
99-Big East-UConn
00-Big 10-Mich St
03-Big East-Syracuse
04-Big East-UConn
08-Big 12-Kansas

ACC-7 SEC-5 Big East-3 Pac 10-2 Big 10-1 Big 12-1 Moutain West-1

In 03 Marquette and UConn where in the final four...but was Marquette in the Big East then or still Conference USA?
And then last year UConn and Villanova was in the final twice for that answer.

94-Arkansas, Florida
96-UK, Miss St
06-LSU, Florida

Since 90 Big East has had 7 teams in the final four, or 8 if Marquette was then
The SEC has had 13.

So people seriously, stop stating that the Big East is dominate and especially stop saying that they are way better than the SEC.  Maybe they have been the last 2 or 3 years, but history and stats say another thing.

NC State wipes the floor with Duke and Duke drops only 4 spots.  UT drops a game to Georgia and they drop 6 spots.  Hmmm....

Wv dude, I have a question for ya.  Who can guard the CATS?  We possibly have the deepest team to ever wear the blue and white!!  We are seriously 10-11 deep!!  We have the best pg's in the country with Mr. Bledsoe and Wall, not to mention our beasts in the paint, Patterson, Cousins, and Orton. Our shooting guards aren't to shabby either!  Darus Miller, Dodson, Harris, and the list just keeps going.  It's just good to be back on top to we're the CATS belong.

lexwildcat - I agree with you about Kentucky and Kansas.  One more point about Temple - we beat Miami (Ohio) by 20 in Ohio and you beat them by 2 at home.Smile  Good luck the rest of the year and maybe we'll see each other in March.

"Temple hasn't beat anyone?  Villanova, Seton Hall on the road, Virginia Tech, Siena, and  Xavier aren't pushovers. Lost in last seconds at Georgetown by one point in second game of year."
Okay, I'll give them the Villanova win and give them slight, slight consideration with the Seton Hall and Virginia Tech. Siena and Xavier, though? I wouldn't write home bragging about those wins. Regardless, my point was Kansas's strongest opponent has quite possibly been Temple. That isn't exactly a resume builder if you ask me.
