Notable game from Thursday: Patrick Patterson got 23 points and eight rebounds to help Kentucky avenge its lone loss with an 82-61 win over South Carolina. The second-ranked Wildcats improved to 27-1 overall, 12-1 in the SEC and will take and eight-game winning streak into Saturday's showdown with Tennessee at Thompson-Boling Arena, i.e., the only place top-ranked Kansas has lost this season.

Notable performance from Thursday: Steven Gray took 12 shots, made 10 and finished with 26 points in Gonzaga's 88-51 win over Santa Clara. He was 3-of-5 from 3-point range, 3-of-4 from the free throw line. Gray also recorded six rebounds and two assists for the Zags, who are now 23-5 overall, 11-2 in the WCC.
 
Notable game scheduled for Friday: The Butler Bulldogs will try to win their 18th straight and finish with a perfect 18-0 Horizon League record when they close the regular season at Valparaiso. Butler is 25-4 overall, 17-0 in the Horizon. Valpo is 15-15 overall, 10-7 in the Horizon. Tip-off is set for 9 p.m. ET.
