Here's Tuesday's What You Need To Know:

Notable game from Monday: Da'Sean Butler scored 22 points to lead West Virginia to an 81-68 win over Georgetown. It was the Hoyas' fourth loss in five games. They're now 19-9 overall, 9-8 in the Big East heading into Saturday's game against Cincinnati. West Virginia is 23-6 overall, 12-5 in the Big East heading into Saturday's game at Villanova.

Notable performance from Monday: Damion James took 14 shots, made eight and finished with 24 points in Texas' 87-76 win over Oklahoma. The senior forward added eight rebounds, one assist and one steal. Texas has now won three of its past four games to move to 23-7 overall, 9-6 in the Big 12. Oklahoma is 13-16 overall, 4-11 in the Big 12. The Sooners have dropped seven straight games.
 
Notable game scheduled for Tuesday: Syracuse will play for the first time since moving to No. 1 in the AP and Coaches polls when the Orange host St. John's at the Carrier Dome. Syracuse is 27-2 overall, 14-2 in the Big East. St. John's is 15-13 overall, 5-11 in the Big East. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET.

What You Need To Know

Gary was on Brent Axe's show in Syracuse yesterday defending his position.  He did a good job making an argument why he kept Kansas #1.   He did a terrible job defending his behavior towards that poor girl.   I bet if you asked him to be honest he would say,  "In retrospect, it was a bad choice to do that "
