Iowa sophomore Aaron Fuller is transferring to Southern California, a source told CBSSports.com on Saturday.

Fuller averaged 9.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game this season for the Hawkeyes.

He opted to leave the program after Todd Lickliter was fired.

Fuller must miss next season per NCAA transfer rules. The 6-foot-6 forward will be eligible to play for the Trojans in 2011-12. He'll have two years of eligibility remaining.

From What i understand, Lickliter leaving is not the reason he left. He was gonna leave if Iowa didnt get rid of lick. Now that they get rid of him, he still leaves? I dont understand. Im guessing he didnt want to b part of a rebuilding program or he just flat out doesnt like fran. He will be closer to home in Cali. maybe its that also.

Iowa's Fuller transferring to USC

I'm always amazed that anyone wants to play for Kevin O'Neill given his reputation for being "less than pleasant".

SC fan, the word would be loss not lose. There is more to life than "dude" and "hey man". Hopefully you are not an indication of what academic standards are at USC.

Iowa's Fuller transferring to USC

For cryin out loud....if the select hoosiers, illini and trojans can quit barking over themselves for a second I'll thow out a Hawkeye perspective.  Aaron Fuller is a good, hard working kid who handled himself very well the last few years.  Iowa fans are very aware of out spot in the national BB scene currently, and we don't care for it at all.  The fans quit showing up, so the AD stepped up and let go of his first hire in Todd Lickliter.  There was a lot of criticism of coach Lick's program, and a new coach coming in.  Aaron felt he didn't want to be part of Iowa Rebuilding 2.0, and I get it.  He's definately a full-ride player in any BCS conference and I wish him the best and will miss his game next winter.

Iowa's Fuller transferring to USC

ILL55NI - you sir are the idiot. Typical Illinois fan. Why do you have so much hatred for Iowa? Deon Thomas? Get over it. Fuller is talented enough to start for the Illini and the majority of the big ten schools and I believe he will start for USC when he becomes eligible. Fuller is was just starting to hit his stride. He was a very solid player on a horrible team. I don't blame him for leaving. Bag on Iowa if you want for being a failure in B-Ball for the past few years but don't bag on this kid. He will be on an NBA roster in three years...

Iowa's Fuller transferring to USC

HRAAJA - As an FYI USC is ranked #26 is the US News and World Report's rankings.  The University of Iowa is unranked.  The conclusion here is that your assertion that Iowa is a more demanding institution is unfounded.

Iowa's Fuller transferring to USC

Dude, did you even check to see who were making the comments?  An Illinois fan and an Indiana fan!!!  Iowa fans are sad to see him go but don't think he will suck somewhere else.  He seems like a good kid and I hope he succeeds.

Check some things out before ripping on a fanbase next time.
