New Mexico junior Darington Hobson will remain in the NBA Draft, a source told CBSSports.com on Friday.

A formal announcement should come this weekend.

Hobson averaged 15.9 points and 9.3 rebounds while leading the Lobos to 30 wins and the second round of the NCAA tournament this season. The 6-foot-7 wing was the Mountain West Conference Player of the Year. He's projected by most to be selected at the bottom of the first round or top of the second round.

The deadline for underclassmen to withdraw from the NBA Draft is Saturday.

With him leaving, maybe that will make room for the kid who can't play at Tennessee to come here. Good luck Mr. Hobson, I wish you fame and fortune.

He actually had three years of college ball. Two were at a junior college.
