Miller to Louisville this weekend?

Posted on: August 30, 2010 2:08 pm
Another elite prospect from the Class of 2011 came off the board this weekend, meaning 12 of the top 20, according to, are now verbally committed to a specific college.

The highest-rated players who remain open are No. 2 Austin Rivers, No. 3 Adonis Thomas and No. 4 Quincy Miller. Rivers is still considering Florida, Duke, North Carolina, and Kansas while Thomas announced this weekend that he's narrowed his list of potential schools to Memphis, Florida, Tennessee, UCLA, Arkansas and Kansas.

Meantime, Miller might actually be the next to pop. recruiting analyst Evan Daniels told Matt Jones on the radio in Kentucky this morning that Miller is no longer considering John Calipari's Wildcats, and that Miller "could" commit to Louisville this weekend. If so, it would be a huge get for Rick Pitino because he already has a commitment from No. 15 Wayne Blackshear, and it could help the Cards ultimately land Deuce Bello, Miller's summer teammate who won the dunk contest at this past weekend's Boost Mobile Elite 24 all-star game.

Miller to Louisville this weekend?

The only 5 star player UL will have is Miller.  On rivals Blackshear dropped from a 5 to 4...I dont know about scout though.  But if Miller and Bello go there, thats 1 5 and 4 4s...pretty solid.

Would be Good

It would be good for Louisville to land those guys, afterall, with Pitino probably in somewhat of hot water he needs them.  That would put together a pretty good class and make them competitive in the Big East.  Not to mention it'll make the UK/UL rivalry more interesting.  But I feel sorry for Miller because he will have to play UK at Rupp in his first year.  And I think we all know, UL just isnt going to beat UK, not at Rupp anyway.  Miller wanted to go somewhere where he will be hated so when he steps in Rupp, he'll feel the hate haha  Also, I hope what happened to Samardo Samuels doesnt happen to him.  #1 player, 3 years, undrafted, signed to FA deal with Cavs cuz James left...Pitino just isnt producing NBA guys.  But Pitino better be glad Cal took commits from Davis and Wiltjer.  That and the fact they hired a shoe dude that had connections with Miller.

Miller to Louisville this weekend?

Hopefully Louisville will land Miller and Bello.  As a UK fan, I would love to see the Cats and the Cards sign 8 5-star guys a year between them, and have their December matchup be the game of the year (and hopefully see a re-match in April).  Then we should get IU and Memphis to join UK and UL in a regular Big 4 series.
