Rashad 'Ky' Madden, a consensus top 50 national recruit in the Class of 2011, announced Wednesday morning that he plans to play college basketball at Arkansas.

Madden, a senior at East Poinsett County High in Arkansas, chose the Hogs over offers from Ole Miss and Baylor.

The 6-foot-5 guard is ranked 43rd nationally by MaxPreps.com. He's the fourth top 100 prospect to commit to Arkansas. The others are No. 49 B.J. Young, No. 55 Hunter Mickelson and No. 90 Aaron Ross.

Arkansas lands fourth top 100 recruit

I think it's good for the whole SEC to see the improvements at Arkansas as far as recruiting is going. Just Think it took a UK alum to do it.

Finally getting the players, hopefully they will get some coaching!  As an Arkansas fan I am not sold on Pelphrey and MAdden better lose his attitude or he can go as well.

Come on Sleepy you should realize that by now even with bad coaching you can win many games with great players. Cough Calipari Cough. And I'm sure 20 or so UK fans will now come and tell me how much of a hater I am.

Arkansas lands fourth top 100 recruit

As a HUGE Memphis Tigers fan and a supporter of Arkansas as well, I love that both of our programs are taking big recruiting strides as of late.  I would love to see the two teams work out some kind of home and away multi-season deal.  That would be mutually beneficial to both clubs as well as help boost the RPI of both teams in regards to the NCAA tournament.
